From the late 1970s from WJW-TV8, here is a Hoolihan & Big Chuck skit called "Certain Ethnic Varieties." This is a direct satire on "Polka Varieties," a long-running show on WEWS-TV5, also in Cleveland.

Hoolihan and Big Chuck, polka music, bowling and wholesome humor. I spent my childhood in Cleveland and this makes me homesick.

Sunday TV in Cleveland really sucked. Nothing but wall to wall religious programming all morning. This forced my brother and I to watch POLKA VARIETIES and THE GENE CARROLL show, um, religiously. Not to honor it, but to mock it. This spoof is so spot on! The only thing missing is dancing fat couples bumping into the camera. I LIVED for those moments. Stay Sick.
