The Horizon 7.8 AT Treadmill is the top treadmill from Horizon’s Studio series. It is designed for running with a 22” x 60” running deck and a 4.0 horsepower motor. The speed range is 0.5 to 12 miles per hour. The incline is from 0 to 15%. The 7.8 AT is great for runners who train daily or for users sharing their treadmill with others in their household.
Horizon covers the frame and motor with a lifetime warranty. The treadmill can support a user up to 375 lbs. The 7.8 AT weighs 330 lbs. Its footprint is 76” x 37” x 64”. The construction is very still, and the console does not shake much when you are training.
No subscription is required to use the Horizon 7.8 AT. It has features to support third-party training and entertainment features. There are two tablet racks. The Horizon 7.8 AT has Bluetooth speakers and media controls.
Quick Dial controls scroll the speed and incline up or down. These controls help you keep pace with third-party content and intuitively adjust to your workout plan. There are also interval keys for quickly adjusting to custom interval settings.
The Horizon 7.8 AT’s running deck is cushioned moderately. It uses three-zone variable training to provide a soft impact zone and a firmer push-off zone. The different zones are very subtle. The 7.8 AT works well for any run you want to perform: easy runs, long runs, and interval runs.

This was a really good review. Good presentation, clear information, and I really liked the walking/running demonstrations to show us how the treadmill performs and sounds in use. I’m leaning towards Horizon now, so I’m going to read your full review. Thank you.

I got this treadmill after watching this review, im currently weighing 320 pounds after gaing alot of weight because i couldnt exercise because of my constant lower back pain, i finally got my steroid injections and soon ill get my ablation, i used this treadmill and even for my weight its built like a tank, i have still yet to use the programs or the swift app on it but ill try soon when i get the chance to read the instructions, thanks for the review.

@@chaboi7 try lifting too.. weight training actually causes more fat loss than cardio does but you need the cardio together with it. I lift as well.. I actually prefer it over cardio but gotta do both! And I’d like to loose at least 50lbs.. maybe more but that’s my first goal! And 9lbs is still 9lbs! Keep it up! Slow and steady wins the race. Last year I lost 20lbs but I gained all back because I got very sick later in the year. Trying it again this year!

@cassiehub1343 oh for sure, im starting to lift today actually, I was giving myself some time before I added it on and I think today is the day, im adding lifting but also body weight exercises and some boxing with heavy ankle and wrist weights

I am trying to make a decision between this and the SOLE S77. It seems so hard to find updated info on the S77. Spec wise it looks like it's right in between the F80 and F85 and has the same screen now as the F80 I believe. I'm not super concerned about the transition speed for speed adjustments as it will be mainly used for long runs not intervals. Non folding isn't a deal breaker for me as it will be set up in a permanent spot. I can get theses at an identical price. Looking for a recommendation. Thanks so much.

Unfortunately, it does not. I'm not aware of any treadmill that supports this, but it's a feature I would really like to see, too!

Hi, I am visually impaired and looking for a treadmill that does not have a touch screen or advanced smart features. Would the console on this machine the suitable for someone with limited vision? Do you think? Is it the kind of control setup that could be mastered with familiarity and repetition?

Yes, I think the Horizon 7.8 AT would be a good treadmill for you. The console screens have good contrast, and the necessary buttons are tactile which should make using them easier for you. I like the incline and speed dials a lot, because they feel really intuitive to use. I hope this helps!

if you had a choice would you go with the sole f80 or the horizon 7.8

That's a really tough choice there. The F80 has a durable construction and better training content options. The 7.8 AT has faster speed and incline adjustments that make HIIT workouts super smooth. If you do more intervals, 7.8 AT. If you do more endurance walks or runs, F80.

If the screen and tech are not important, I would go for the 7.8 AT. The faster speed and incline adjustments make it worth it for me. I hope that helps!

If you really want a decline option, then yes! The F85 is a great treadmill. I don't really notice the slower adjustments unless I'm running short intervals.
