Great video! I never knew there was a Lima version originally! I will say that having the Hornby Junior and a cheaper battery set from China in almost the same style has me wanting to get more of the variations as well! They’re great to run, and fun to seek out the variations!

Hi Ed, thanks :) Yes, it was quite a surprise to uncover the history of this set. I''ve also found a photo of this Frecciarossa model sold as a Hornby Junior 'Alpine Express' set with a fold out card mountain and tunnel. All avenues to this set have come to a dead end....It's just disappeared. I'll do an unboxing/review of the new Frecciarossa 1000 when it arrives. All the best...Tom
