For me, the re-release of the APT-P and the biggest Bonus of it all, are the Extra Coaches you are releasing to go with it, I’m so excited, and looking forward to it, I can’t wait to get it, I just hope Hornby get everything correct on this next model, 3D printing will help hugely in getting it scale correct but get the correct colour Livery. Thank You Hornby for the Next APT-P Announcement! Thumbs Up 👍

I’ve pre ordered the APT. I had one back in the 80s, it’s a little worse for ware now and I was going to spruce it up... but now I think I’ll just have the retooled one. Thank you so much Hornby, and Happy 100 anniversary .

it's true the hobby never leaves us, it's still one of the best pastimes, my first train was a piece of rail in my bedroom on the windowsill just shunting from one end to the other, the background scenery was the farmers fields! look up your nearest railway club they are always in the need for more members.

Now then the die cast Duchess is a great idea, love the packing as well. Shame to limit the numbers as I am sure it would sell and sell.

Cast metal steamers seem to sell quite well in Europe and recently in America (BLI). I think it is good to test the market.

Just about pre-ordered everything in the modern era range....Great selection. Looking forward to the Euro Star and Pendolino Avanti. Still waiting for deliveries of 2019 range so cannot fully comment yet as I would like to see my pre-ordered Azuma! Would liked to have seen something Diesel/Electric in the Hornby 100 range, its all steam ! So ended up ordering a Smokey Joe for the sake of having something and I like the packaging era it comes in. You could have slipped in an 800 in there !!!! Overall a good range release. Im Doug, Loving the the Hornby range, Happy new year Mike....... PS whats the name of the dog in the photo frame on the shelf behind you ?

2020 range is one thing, but what about Hornby`s 2019 range? When are they going to release those items? I`m still waiting for the Cross Country HST (R3808) pre-ordered January 2019, talk about putting the cart before the horse.

Excellent video! Delighted that Tri-ang has been referenced. Back in the day I was a Tri-ang 'user' (black Princess Elizabeth among a couple of others), interested to see the "00/HO guage logo in the top right corner of the Rocket package. I recall a red button-hole badge with gold metallic highlighting (yellow?) which was worn on my blazer until it disappeared. It might be for a diminishing market of One but does Hornby have any thoughts of reproducing this as part of the celebrations? I have no idea where it came from, but seeing that image again has been unusually nostalgic! Sad ageing flatulent!

The production of the Rocket is a master stroke although my favourite remains the Peckett 0-4-0 tank.

An interesting range. I didn't see much mention of the APT though - is that a whole newly-tooled model, or just the 1980s one with a better paint job?

I'm always pleased to see a model of the Rocket. It suggests a starting point for a layout of that era. Any chance of other products from that era, the Locomotion perhaps or other contenders from the Rainhill Trials ? Also, will the Merchant Navy class of loco become available as a named loco of other shipping lines ?

They are American but Bachmann makes the DeWitt Clinton and John Bull (built in UK for US). Both were only a few years apart from the Rocket.

Hi Hornby - why is there a gap in modelling between the Rocket and the 1890, What about models from the 1840s and 1850s? And what about GWR broad gage models?

Got to get me a Stephensons Rocket. I have an original that I managed to get of a popular auction site. It needed a lot of work, but it runs fine now, has DCC fitted including a smoke generator.

Brilliant announcements! Have already preordered the 3 gbrf class 47s, the gbrf class 20 & some drs mk2f. Pity theres no HST & coaches with EMR branding, missed a trick there since this year is going to have a big focus on the EMR HST sets.

Hi, Mike wld be possible to pass the suggestion to the right members in the Hornby team to run batches of the tilting pendolinos "with & without the Alstom branding". It's all electric & modern; yet unique & attractive product. Many like me would be delighted to see some more of it back in the range in the near future... Please do check the sturdiness/ build quality, upgrade the model wherever possible; wherever it's made Margate or China factory! Cheers!

Quite an interesting idea to do reproductions of Dublo models for those who still want to have traditional train set type layouts and do not have time for scenic modelling.

I don't have a favourite Hornby model engine, but my favourite Bachmann engine goes thus: 7812 Erlestoke Manor, 7819 Hinton Manor, 7820 Dinmore Manor and 7822 Foxcote Manor.
