Well, this didn’t go quite as I had planned. Of course, I’m used to things becoming a bit crazy when it comes to my health! I seriously expected a smooth infusion. Nope. My pesky chronic illnesses had another plan. Don’t worry, I’m not giving up on IVIG just yet, we have some options to sort things out. I’m thankful for an amazing nurse and an incredible boyfriend. Judd being home for this really made a huge difference! Thank you everyone for all the kind words, love, prayers and support - It means SO much to us! Thank you for coming on our crazy chronic illness adventure!

The teaser at the beginning was a great idea! It's discouraging that this first time didn't go as planned, but we'll just keep trusting in God's plan! I'll be praying that you can find a combination that works for you! ❤

Does Judd remind anyone else of Chris Pratt or is it just me? Kind of how he looks but mostly his jokes and his confidence.

Hey Jaquie, First off, I'm sorry your IVIG didn't go as planned, I'm crossing my fingers that you and your doctors find a solution to make it work for you! I stumbled on your channel just a few days ago, and have been pretty much binge watching your vlogs since then :) I find you incredibly inspiring, even with all of your health problems you still find the strength to stay positive and do things you love, as well as spread awareness. I can't imagine how hard it must be everyday, but seeing you push through is just uplifting. A ton of love to yourself and Judd, as well as a bunch of cuddles to Harlow who is just amazing! Keep it up, you guys are incredible

I'm so sorry it didn't go well. I've been watching since your first vlog (and following on Instagram since before that) and I was so excited for you when you found out what's causing your attacks and finding a possible treatment for it. Hopefully next time will go better. Keep fighting, you can do it! I also just want to say that your nurse seems really awesome! It's great he let you film, and he seems really nice (and good at his job of course). Harlow sure seems to like him ;) Also loving the teaser at the beginning, before the intro, and the new info in the description. It's so great to see you get so much better at vlogging and editing and all that. I mean, it's great to see that you've found a new hobby in this and that you're getting so fantastic at it :D Proud of you!

I have Adrenal Insufficiency and I'm completely steroid dependent. I used to use solu-cortef and it gave me very similar feelings, and many of my friends had similar experiences as well. Once I switched to other steroids I felt much better! They seem similar, but solu-cortef is a hit or miss for a lot of people! I prefer Dexamethasone personally!

I remember you saying something about MCAD being part of your problems. If I get benadryl from a different source, I can react to the benadryl. If I get a vaccine which used eggs to incubate the virus then I can react to it. Some sources or preservatives can set me off too. MCAD is not fun, you can also no react to something and then all of the sudden for one time only react to it. You hang in there. I am sure you can figure out what works well for you. Another thing, if you take a cotton swab of your tongue when you start reacting you can train Harlow to signal you when it starts to happen. That is one the main reasons why I want a service dog.

I would think you wouldn't be able to mix the IVIG solution with the saline because it would spoil too quickly at room-temp. Just thinking out loud. So glad the E-room didn't turn into an admit. Judd, you're a trooper (deputy trooper?) and I hope you eventually got your nap.

Don't get too down. My daughter gets ivig. Reactions (without any of your other conditions) are super super common. They may have to fun the rare super super slowly to avoid reactions. I'm pretty surprised they let you attempt your first ivig at home. Hang in there.

So a few questions-what is your blood type and include if it is positive or negative, -does your primary doctor keep track of every medical procedure/medicine that you reacted to within hours to keep a running fact sheet on that-a really good allergist can help you ascertain with the meds and chemicals, have you had any success with that? Given that you were having issues the day before perhaps some valium the day before might help? just a thought. I hear you about the questions on the dog, I get people sabotaging our training all the time because she is a cute puppy and she is so smart she knows they are talking about her. Prayers and peace your way. Hang in there and go forward, but do give time to recover before retrying. I was told recently that chronically ill people should check their packages and even alcohol wipes for hidden chemicals in small amounts, like chlorhexidine and formaldehyde, sounds silly but people have almost died from that. Blessings!

From my experience some patients need different brands of IVIG due to allergic reactions. IVIG is also one of those Transfusion products that have a high incidence of allergic transfusion reactions. Keep plugging along because the benefits are worth it, but definitely try different IVIG brands.

Blood products are notorious for causing side effects the first time you have them. And it is quite common for the side effects to occur in the first 15min. The second time you do it it will quite possibly be better!

Awe, I'm sorry....you must be very frustrated. Keep on with your positive thinking. Concentrate your thoughts on how its going to feel when that medical works, feel what it would be like in your life to be able to do more things. , I understand you can't do those things right now... But just feel what it would be like to do these things with your boyfriend you've always wanted to do.

It probably was a reaction from the steroid combined with the ivig. Try next time with no steroid! Bummer...I was really looking forward to you making through it. Or maybe even the phenergan with ivig caused the bad reaction....fingers crossed for next week heck yes. Dont give up Jaquie! Big hug to Hippo
