I completely understand why people don't usually want to remember the wedding everyone always forgets, but you are forgetting one. The Red Wedding The Purple Wedding The WHITE Wedding! The White Wedding is the marriage between Sansa Stark and Ramsay Bolton. That's what I've always called it anyway. It's easily the worst wedding in the entire series and is also one of the biggest mistakes ever made by the show runners. But it is in fact "The White Wedding" as far as I am concerned.

My one burning question after your video is who else actually knows about Rhaenyra and Ser Christian Cole getting it on?? It would seem to me that the Moon Tea was as a precaution in case they were all being lied to by Rhaenyra about her not doing it with Daemon. Because as we can already see, the only ones who could possibly know are the two of them, and the two of them only! Or have I missed something??

I am indifferent but I do like his chaotic nature. That character archetype seems usually reserved for females but I like how strongly he’s fueled by his emotions and love for his family

I disagree. He's being portrayed as a direct copy of Jamie Lannister's personality traits. Plus, Matt Smith (Daemon) in makeup looks too much like a cross between Brienne of Tarth and Odo from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I seriously have a difficult time looking at him and trying to take him seriously. I either laugh or cringe when I see him on screen.

@@DJ80s Matt Smith, the actor playing Daemon, used to be a reincarnation of Dr. Who, hence the quip. As his looks go I disagree, but honestly I don't care really. To me he has this unpredictable unscrutable quality, so you never know what he's up to next, like what he did at the Stepping Stones or when he returned last week to King's Landing and while incest isn't really a quality I can get behind, so to speak, I appreciate the danger he represents to all around him, a bit like the joker, causing chaos just to see all the people running around trying to fix the mahem he causes. In short, he's interesting.

If you rewatch the scene with Rhaenyra and Christian Cole, some of the footage looks like they are being spyed on. I personally think Daemon watched the 2 of them get it on, then drank himself into a stupor. So, I think Daemon tells people to stir things up leading to the wedding, then someone at the wedding blurts it out and all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile Daemon sits there with a smile and watches, proud that his plan played out exactly how he wanted it to.

I agree. And adding to that, it seems it was also part of his plan to take Rhaenyra out to King's Landing streets, tease her at the brothel and leave her "hot and easy" for Cole when she came back to the Red Keep.

One thing I think is absolutely important in this trailer is you see Christen Cole meeting with Alicent and it almost looks as if he about to confess pay attention to what Alicent is wearing in that clip. Fast forward to the end of this video and you see Alicent in the same dress and having a look of hurt/rage. I think Christen told Alicent what happened between him and Rhyneara and she’s reacting to being lied to. I think it worth noting because this is going to be the final breakdown of their friendship and the start of Alicents betrayal … just food for thought!

@@Kat31017 Not necessarily! This would be ammunition for her to use against him later. His confession would basically make him her bitch now. Why kill him if he could prove useful in the future. Secrets make ppl easier to control... especially if the princess has his bastard. I always wondered what could have caused the breakdown of Cole and the princess's relationship since they were rumored lovers in the book but we could be looking at the beginning of why he switched allegiances.

I think the fight at the wedding will break out because Daemon will push Laenor’s lover into making a scene (or even go after Rhaenyra out of jealousy). Then Cole jumps to her defense and knocks him down where we see them in the trailer.

1:24 One interesting easter egg that I've noticed since the season trailer. Rhaenyra in her wedding outfit has her hair bound up in a ruby-studded hairnet, which I think is intended to be a reference to the amethyst-studded hairnet that Sansa wears (in the book) to the Purple Wedding. The show replaced Sansa's hairnet with a necklace, but it still played the crucial role of one of its gemstones containing the poison that Olenna used to kill Joffrey.

Rhaenyra's marriage to Laenor will likely share similarities with Margaery's marriage to Renly. I think Laenor will continue with his homosexual affiliations while Rhaenyra will continue her romance with Criston, thus explaining the dark hair of her children. I imagine Laenor will be very much aware of the obvious elephant in the room, but I don't think he'll care all that much and perhaps not at all. I also think the two of them will gradually develop a friendship/bond and so to onlookers, they'll appear to be an in love and successful match. Behind closed doors, however, I think they will go about their individual business yet have mutual respect for each other. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I honestly thought I’d hate Matt Smith as Daemon but he’s really incredible in this series, I swear every scene he’s in he has a magnetic presence to him that really adds to the character. Tbh casting all round has been top notch so far and even the extras are doing wonderfully, it’s making me really excited to see older Alicent and Rhaenyra (Eve Best also grabs my attention in all her scenes and it makes her character so intriguing despite seeing so little of her so far).

@@sambuca5151 whenever we see laena again she’ll have vhagar probably if they go by the books she tamed her when she was 12-14 and I think she’s 14 or 1 15 now in episode 4 and considering her brothers wedding is next episode maybe we see her fly in on vhagar ?

@@Monokazie I really hope they don't decide not to have her ride Vhagar in the show. She wasn't in the dragon riding scene with Seasmoke and Meleys, but they might just be withholding her from the scene preview since she's such huge deal.

I wonder if the moon tea was a test for the king to see if Rhaenyra was lying. Maybe he thought, If she was telling the truth there would be no need for her to take it. But if she was lying, knowing how much she hates the idea of child-bearing, she'll definitely take it. But I can see Rhaenyra seeing through it and not taking the tea to not expose herself. But then... 😅

Excellent theory but I don’t see Rhaenyra’s father being that manipulative with his daughter. They have great love for each other. Fathers are not manipulative and calculating with daughters they love. That’s a mother’s thing. He’s simply aiding her like I would with my daughter. If my daughter came home with an unwanted pregnancy I would totally support her in every way whatever her decision is. She already knows I’m strongly pro-choice. My daughter reminds me of Rhaenyra SO MUCH. Their physicality. Their tenacious intelligence and independence. Same ages too. Ha ha

In the book Fire & Blood, Daemon wasn't anywhere near his wife Lady Rhea when she fell off the horse. He was on one of the islands in the Stepstones. It was actually a complete accident when she fell off the horse lol. The TV show is setting out to make Daemon a bit more villainous than he actually is!

Did anyone notice in the beginning of episode 1x4 that Damon enters and tells king to king conversation he left 2,000 men in the sea in the same style as crabfeeder 2000 was exact number of men King Viserys sent to act as aide So I think before he bows and gives his solidarity to King of 7 kingdom he kinda thew shade like Coralys and I won the eat without your help ...ser

In Episode 4 at 47 minutes the queen tells Rhaenyra that, "It was foolish for you to put yourself in a position where your virtue could even come into question." then the girls realize they are holding hands, and push each other away slightly. It's very subtle, but there have been more clues that the two girls have a more intimate relationship. I have a question; Why isn't Rhaenyra installed as Queen Regent upon the death of her father with her son becoming king when he comes of age? They could marry him to Helana and avoid a civil war.

When king died they kept it as a secret so that Rhaenyra wouldn't come and claim the throne, the idea was to make Aegon the next ruler, they never wanted Rhaenyra or her son in the iron throne

Honestly the marriage to Laenor would allow the Targeryans to keep up with the rise in House Velyrion with Laena’s marriage to the Sealords son. This would honestly be the best match and props to Lyonel Strong for calling it. House Velyrion is the benefiting from these marriages the most. They’re suring up their base of operations in Westeros getting close to the Iron Throne while also strengthening their grasp to one of their biggest ports-of-call. If they really wanted to further this Laenor and Rheanyra’s or Laena and the Sealord’s kids would need to marry into 1 strong house in Westeros most likely the Stormlands or Dorne and Tyrosh, Myr, Pentos, or Lhys

Personally my money is on Otto Hightower ! He is orchestrating the rumor be made public during the wedding to start the brawl and try and drive a wedge between the new marriage in a very Little Finger esque way and it would pay homage to the plot to kill Joffrey that little finger help orchestrate. Also as someone pointed out she is wearing a hairnet similar to Sansa's that had the poison very on the nose that her actions are what poison the marriage. Otto may have even have told Lanar Velrion's lover who makes a scene which is why Christain is seen attacking him!

This show is so damn good already and the Dance hasn’t even begun yet. I will miss the King though. He’s been beyond amazing. And his last decision typifies his entire reign. He tries his best to do what’s right but no matter what he does it ends up being the wrong decision. Getting rid of Otto, wedding his daughter to unite both House of Dragons, as well as the Sea. It seems perfect. When I’m reality the only choice that would have prevented the Dance is choosing Aegon and keeping Otto.

There are so many ways he could have ensured the Princess is crowned with no civil war if he had been smart. Wedding Aegon to her is one way. Making the Sea Snake Hand of the King to ensure that he is the second most powerful man in the realm. He will make sure the Princess succeeds the throne as he will want his 'grandchild' to one day become king. Giving the Princess a seat on the council so she has a reason to be in King's Landing at all times. The only reason Aegon was able to be crowned was because Rhaenyra was away at Dragonstone.

I dont think Rhaenyra drink the tea. I think she is not pregnant but continues her affair and eventually does end up pregnant. There is so much going on though it's hard to tell.

She has a kid with laenor, then laenor is killed, she marries daemon and she has kids with him too, then she will be killed and her kid will become king.
