She did try to sleep with her husband many times but he couldn’t perform and get her pregnant. She’s not gonna get on top of him and force him to impregnate her, he failed her and didn’t keep up his end of their bargain which is why he apologized to her last episode. Instead he chose to sleep around and abandon her, leaving her to have to try and have kids with someone else because she needed to have heirs. But yes, she should’ve tried to find someone that at least was Velaryon or resembled them- she only chose Ser Strong because she trusted him and they obviously had some sort of relationship even when she was younger.

no, she was forced to marry him. viserys once gave her the option to marry anyone she wishes but as time passed, she was becoming more stubborn and ultimately forced her to marry laenor.

There were so many great moments in episode 8, that is hard to pick one. I loved Vaemond's scene because he reminded me of an uncle who's had enough of the family at the family function. King Viserys is legendary, & Paddy Considine earned his Emmy in that role.

Great episode man RIP Viserys. He will be missed. Great moment with Viserys entrance as well Daemon helping him to the throne. But man that scene with Daemon cutting off the top half of Vaemon head was intense. Even tho Vaemon was right about Rhaenyra kids. But he totally forgot who house he was in. And Daemon reminded him of that. Great reaction\commentary from you too. And I hope the rest of your day is enjoyable.

I think the king walking in and kicking Otto off the throne, was tops in this 1! That was a rare show of strength for Vysarys! Then the way he started off like ‘ why we here’ ...lol! That’s backup like no one else can give! #teamblack #allday #fromthefirstday

7 pointed star necklace alicent wears is for the faith of the seven. A lot of the members of the faith are requesting more funds. The models are all old and got spiderwebs on them and cobwebs he hasn’t touched them in a long time. They focus on the scar that alicent gave rhaenyra.

@13:30, words have consequences. Vaemond definitely told the truth about Rhaenyra’s kids not being real Valeryons. A knight is supposed to be brave in battle and be willing to tell the truth even in the face of death. So I applaud him. But to look the well armed husband of the crown Princess in the face and call her a 304 was a bit much. Vaemond may have said what he said but then Daemon did what he did.

Alicent telling the servant girl "I believe you" would be unbelievably progressive for that time period. It's not gaslighting if it's the truth. The moment the girl accuses the Prince of any transgression they would have her whipped & thrown in a cell. Princes didn't get prosecuted for taking advantage of their maids. The idea that she is the victim here wouldn't even cross anyone's mind. So the Queen hugging & showing compassion to her was damn near a revolutionary act. Fans don't transplant 21st century sensibilities on medieval characters challenge (impossible).

Alicent poisoned that girl.. she said she wouldn’t tell a soul and Alicent said “I know you won’t” and the way her servant Talya looked at the girl.. the Helaena came in asking for that girl cuz she was supposed to dress the children (she was already dead). That’s how I took it after watching this for a second time.

It's definitely plausible, but I'm not sure that Alicent has the temperament to knowingly hand someone a cup of poison-setting aside the fact that moon tea is itself kinda dangerous. I lean toward thinking Alicent sent her away from the Red Keep and probably from King's Landing.

Rhaenyra slept with three people, Ser Cole, Her husband, and Ser Strong. She was lonely living in another part of the castle. Give her a break. Someone was being kind to her. Viserys should have crowned her the night of the knife fight. Aemond is a snowflake. He wouldn't have survived my middle school. All Alicent does is drug that poor man.

Both Rhaenyra and Laenor had cheated on each other because the latter was gay. They tried to conceive during the early part of their marriage and failed to conceive because of . . . you know, reasons. They gave up. Rhaenyra turned to Harwin Strong and Laenor turned to other men and eventually Qarl Correy, with whom he hightailed it to Essos.

“….Yuck” - Alyssa, circa 2022, the book of great quotes and stuff. Great reaction as always! Glad to have you amazing ladies back. Alicent, I think, genuinely wanted to set animosities aside. It’s a shame she chose to hear what her heart wanted to hear in her last conversation with Viserys. As for team Green or Team Black: both sides are shitty people. Lesser of two evils would be Rhaenyra but let’s not forget she’s not telling Laenor’s parents he’s alive because it would make her marriage to Daemon illegitimate. Choosing her own desires over allowing parents to know their child lives. She’s also 1000% OK with her sons marrying their stepsisters/cousins. Westeros is basically the Alabama of fantasy continents. 😅

It doesn't make sense for the Greens to poison Viserys. As long as he's alive, they can rule in his name. If he dies, they have to deal with Rhaenrya and her claim to the throne.
