Time flies. Been watching your videos since your first-born. Variety of recipes are excellent and Mr. Lau Sr. is so generous is offering all the tips, not only in the recipes but in the method and what-to-do and not-to-do. Really an education in Chinese cooking. Delighted to hear your son say "Thank you KZfaq". What a family!

How do you know they don’t get paid?
@TaraMunikar
@TaraMunikar 3 ай бұрын
@@FernaManu I think creators are legally required by the FTC to disclose sponsored content (at least in the US where I think this channel is based in), and if you’re caught not letting your audience know that you’re getting paid to promote something, you can be fined. That being said, there are creators who don’t follow the law and just hope that people don’t report them. However, Made with Lau has created sponsored content in the past by Kikkoman and in those videos, they do explicitly say that they were sponsored pretty prominently. So I’m inclined to believe that if they were sponsored by Costco, they would mention it in the video like they have in the past for other companies.

Make with Lau is created by a pair of ingenuous father and son. I appreciated all the traditional Chinese recipes from this Channel . Now they are leaping ahead by teaching me how to cook with all the stuff from Costco. This is so practical because i do most of my shopping in Costco. Time fly when you have a good time. i watched your channel before you reached the 100,000 views. Now i see your little sweetheart saying “ bye bye You Tube “. Sounded so sweet and clear. She stole my heart. Love all your recipes and your two darlings.

Hello. You might want to check. Usually the bag on frozen fish will tell you NOT to defrost it in the plastic bag it comes in. I'm guessing the cheap plastic bags it comes in is OK when frozen but might leash chemicals when you defrost in the bag. Its best to remove the fish from the plastic when frozen, the defrost it in the fridge on a plate or defrost it a zipper bag or wrap in Saran Wrap.
@sonofjenova7
@sonofjenova7 3 ай бұрын
It's not about leeching chemicals. It's because botulism can develop if there are spores present in an oxygen deprived environment. It's not an issue when frozen, but if left unfrozen for a longer time, the bacteria can begin to grow. Defrosting under water and then immediately opening it still minimizes the time. Best not to defrost slowly and let it sit in a warmer environment for too long. Resealing and defrosting again just reintroduces the same risk again. It's not about the quality of plastic, but exposure to air. Not sure what the actual likelihood of it being an issue is, but I'm sure the distribution companies will err on the side of caution to prevent lawsuits or health issues if people get sick. FWIW, I've defrosted vacuumed seal fish many times and have yet to get sick. But the time between defrosting and opening the package is usually less than 20-30 minutes which isn't all that long.

@@sonofjenova7I never understood the instruction to remove from packaging only to defrost it exposed to the air or wrap in new plastic.
