I have a theory. When the Father offered Anakin to take his place, did he mean by wanting him to stop Abeloth? Anakin did tame Son and Daughter like Abeloth did when he realised his full potential briefly. Anakin is literally conceived by the Force with the greatest Force potential to have ever known. The Prophecy said he will bring Balance to the Force. What if it meant to stop Abeloth, not the Sith? Even Luke in his absolute peak admitted he can't defeat her and Anakin is the only one with the potential to exceed Luke and match Abeloth. Luke while powerful could only use the Light side of the force. Revan is the only one to have ever used the Force in its purest form, both Light and Dark. He was insanely powerful even when he didn't have the Force potential of Skywalkers. I think the The Chosen One was meant to master the Force in its entirety and stop Abeloth.

I only just recently wondered, why didn't they try to end Abeloth at her very start by throwing her INTO a black hole?

Abeloth is an interesting and powerful character! Force of nature more than anything else. Like Darth nihilus. There are very few characters in Star wars that are in her weight class. Maybe Lord valkorion? But in The art of war he would need to move fast. And give no quarter! HIs best bet for victory. is to use his army as cannon fodder.. and going in for the kill! The strategy would have to be strike hard. keep abeloth busy. and go for the head!!

I would LOVE to see you do a breakdown of the Eternal Empire and their military/sith Lords/soldiers etc. You've got enough footage of them it seems like!

With regard to the freighter question, I think it's more a personnel issue than anything else. Look at the Falcon in ROTJ. You got Lando and Nunb as pilot/ copilot, three other dudes in the cockpit working presumably ship's systems and/ or sensors. Toss in the two guys I'm sure they had in the turrets, and figure 3-5 for damage control, and you're looking at 7 bodies, minimum, possibly up to 12. That's basically an entire X-Wing squadron worth of people. Now, sure, not all of them may be capable of being a starfighter pilot, but freeing up those bodies allows you to hunt your other ranks for people who CAN. Maybe that gunner on Mon Remonda was a freight pilot before the war. That's another ass in an X-Wing. Maybe the navigator on a Corellian Corvette has been playing flight sims the last 15 years. That's another ass in an X-Wing. Maybe the machinist's mate 3rd class on that Nebulon B just has an innate talent for piloting snubs. That's another ass in an X-Wing. In short, I think the best return on investment is in the fighters. If you can do both, more's the better, but the priority goes to getting asses in X-Wings.

The reason u didn’t see a lot of combat freighters is because most of high command weren’t use to dealing with smugglers or pirates. They were politicians and ex imp soldiers and didn’t know how to modify commercial ships into combat vessels. Plus combat vessels wouldn’t have gone unnoticed in civilian ports. Secrecy and blending in was important hence why yt-1300 cr90 gr-75 and ef76 were most common ships in RAF.

Seeing as the original version of the virus in Legends was created by Darth Drear in order to achieve immortality for Sith Lords, something Canon Palpatine was looking for due to believing that the Empire shouldn't out live him. I wonder if what Abeloth does when reaching someone through the force... she makes the force impure, hence when reaching a mind, it unhinges it, even if just a minor bit of asocial behavior, to full on impostor-syndrome so deepseated that it's full on insanity. Abeloth was only what the force in its truest form. Showing what it wants and been doing.

My only significant gripe about Legends is how dependent it was on neutering the Jedi at every opportunity. Something I also didn't like about the Sequels. You can have them face a challenging enemy without having them go underground or being purged every 20 years like clockwork.

VF-1 Valkyrie variable fighter( SDF Macross) vs Viking mech( Starcraft). Reaver class titan ( Warhammer 40K) vs LED Mirage mortar headd( Five Star Stories).

Replicators vs a Unified Star Wars universe (562nd try now, *_I._** WILL NEEEEVER EEEVER GIVE UP!!!)*

Completely unrelated, but I have a suggestion. What if we have a versus that's The Arbiter and a group (perhaps a fleet, or ground combat force) of various Covenant forces (minus brutes, for obvious reasons) vs General Grievous and a group of various Separatist forces, similar sized forces for fairness. I think it'd be interesting to see different variables come into play, like how infantry square off, Hunters vs. B3 Ultra, Grunts vs. B1's, Elites vs. Magnaguards/BX Commando droids etc. as well as technology, the tactics of Arbiter vs. Grievous, the individual efforts of Arbiter and Grievous (since they are both powerful combatants on top of being Tacticians), fleet advantages and disadvantages etc. I honestly think that'd be an amazing (albeit slightly subjective and hard to put together) versus analysis, I didn't put it very organized or detailed, but I'm sure you could, with your extensive knowledge on both Halo and Star Wars.

Oh and also, the Earth Alliance B5 fleet at Mars all 30+ Omega class destroyers vs the Rebel fleet at Endor. I'd also be curious about the Advanced Omega group vs the Rebel fleet.

I'm really interested in how Aboleth relates to Waru, if, in fact, they are at all related. (Waru is from The Crystal Star, for the record.) The idea of pools of liquid power causing transformations and changes in the local force, as well as the association (however vague) with strange stars (one a seemingly natural crystallization processes, and another an artificial prison of black holes) is very interesting, and I'm curious if there is something more to it than that.

The scary part of abeloth's "Defeat" is that luke himself wasnt fully convinced that abeloth is fully dead even after he uses the dagger of mortis on her and thats the only weapon that can do any real damage to her

The force power, and the potential effect of it, has some similarities to mind trick, and it's darker counterpart force insanity (certainly after KOTOR II, one of my favourite abilities). The technique is probably better to understand on a spectrum, much like real world neurological conditions.

Weren't the Flow Walkers were the Force Sensitive children of the Natasi Daala's Maw Irregular Fleet? Doesn't one of the book's (can't remember which one) say that Abaloth can escape when the flow of time is changed. And that Jacen did this after going Beyond Shadows and seeing Allana sitting at a throne with Darth Kryat (?) I agree, Falcon was mostly hot-rodded out by Lando who had the massive funds to bankroll it as a pet project. The YT-1300's were bulk freighters designed for economy and cargo, not combat. Also, thank you for keeping the Expanded Universe alive.

The Kipu-Men, a Race of small Human Like people who wander the galaxy, they Do Not participate in any conflict whatsoever. One of the key components of their species is relationships with each other and looking out for each other, and they do just that. The Multitude of Clan’s, Tribes, and Factions of the Kipu-Men that travel the Galaxy all agree on one thing: Violence doesn’t solve their issues, and the best way to not get pulled into conflicts is to not look at the conflicts, and instead, choose the more practical option of running, hiding, and holding out till the smoke clears, and then continue on their way. Another thing interesting about the Kipu-Men is that in the Star Wars Universe, they have a Naturally High Midichlorian Count, but aren’t connected to the force. This gives them a supernatural shield and force powers, including even Force Lightning.

I'd like to see someone discuss how Jaina solo under normal circumstances wouldn't have been able to defeat Darth Caedus. If Caedus hadn't been distracted by the virus being directed at Alana and Tenel Ka, I believe Caedus would have wiped the floor with her. I never liked this part of the series. I wanted Caedus to win, even if he had to go into exile, because Caedus vs Abeloth is the real thing I wanted to see.
