Although I was posting case opening videos way before him in 2013, he brought that child like entertainment factor to them, with the shouting and the screaming and the dad slapping, which really helped them explode and get loads of attention. My 2014 case openings were doing nowhere near the anomaly views, he's the original entertainer and deserves his spot as such.

Honestly even outside of CS, Anomaly is a great content creator. His old LAN meetups, the travel vlogs and other random videos are still one of my favorite to watch.

I have been hearing CSGO is dying since 2016, and every time I'm seeing the opposite. Without any advertising like Valorant and other games, its kinda crazy how CSGO is still the most played game on steam.

it s also valves fault that csgo content is missing the point at youtube. It is not the content creators fault because they did a very good Job. If whe speak a about fault I think whe can judge valve for this. Csgo gambling is not wrong at all, but earn over millions of Dollars and didn t advertise a game correctly is the first wrong step. The next misstakes are having such a huge playerbase but didn t offer a great Update circle like valorant and I mean content updates not cases. In my opinion csgo is the better game but the Marketing from csgo is a mess. Zero connection to the own playerbase and less good updates at all. I mean Sure the game does deliver a very good gameplay and all Things that a good shooter game has to offer does csgo very good at the end. But players and also content creartors need much more to do the Job correctly. In valorant for example people have more Motivation to play the game because of the battlepass for example or collectable things. The battlepasses in csgo are boring most of the time and also whe get ONLY 1 BATTLEPASS PER YEAR WTF AND NOBODY DOES KNOW WHEN AND HOW BECAUSE VALVE CAN T COMMUNICATE WITH THE PLAYERBASE.They Lose so much money with such a behavior. If they will communicate better in the future, have a road map, take more employers in to the csgo business the game will destroy everything. So as you can See it s valves fault most of the time in my opinio. They have the money they have the community but they Don t use that power idk why. i wish and hope they will Chance that behavior in the futur. Becaus right know valorant earn more and more players because they have a better Marketing and Listen more to the players. Csgo with his own Market and gameplay is the better game in my opinion but valve doesn t care properly. They should invest money in to a community Manager and make more updates and a better battlepass. Also speak more freely with the playerbase and Listen to them. Yes many people have stupid ideas and they Don t know what they even want. But there is also Gold ideas. In my opinion, if Anomaly hadn't have started the trend, someone else would have. Cases were always free content bound to get a lot of attention, just waiting to be discovered. Anomaly picked up on this and kickstarted the trend, but if he hadn't im 100% sure that someone withing the next few months would have tried a similar video, and apon seeing how many views it got, other creators would have given it a go untill the massive csgo case craze started. Those greedy f*cks probably would've still made their gambling sites too, although I agree it may have taken them longer to do, but Valve was never going to fix anything untill it became a huge problem anyway, so the sites would have probably been shut down within a similar timeframe. There was always content to be made, (and money to be stolen), Anomaly just saw it first

I think McSkillet had the greatest impact on the game. His knowledge of skins and floats and patterns became the benchmark and all other creators learned what he put out there. Sadly his trade bans helped his life spiral out of control but imo his work put CSGO and the skin economy on the map!!!

Regarding the FaZe guys: FaZe Teeqo was actually a huge CSGO grinder. He played his heart out for the game and is a legit fan.

I remember watching CreatureHUB oppening cases and pranking each other it was the funniest shit ever tbh. Kootra and Uber raging over who will get a knife and then proceeding to fart spray each other and later on making vlogs about that stuff damn those were the times.

Been watching anomaly since 2014 when trolled by valve first came out. Loved all his content since and been subbed to him on twitch since. Even though csgo content has been dwindling, still find he’s one of the few people making decent videos about it including the case openings!

I really wish a new cs would come out instead of just updating csgo. And with the whole skins issue give people the option to transfer their skins to the new game but it deletes them from the old game.

I can't help but wonder about McSkillet's role in this story. After all, as per HeyZeus' own video about the guy, it becomes clear his content sparked the interest in skins themselves, which goes hand in hand with the process that Anomaly kickstarted.
