My strategy has been first using messages of safety to try and calm the fear/emotional response from the subconscious. If that isn’t working I switch to just observing the discomfort and energy in my body and just breathe until it passes. Sometimes distraction helps too. But all of these help me to not “give in” to the fear and despair response to the symptoms or emotion.

I believe that just like learning to play the guitar is a conscious experience at first and eventually becomes subconscious once you get good, these methods of consciously working on these things and “being ok” allows you to integrate it subconsciously which is essentially retraining the limbic brain to function awesomely. You are essentially rewiring the limbic brain in the long run. But the way you do that is to accept what you are feeling and allow yourself to feel it and embrace it. I think people should understand the full potential of what this process can unlock in them. Not only can you control your reaction but you can also train your subconscious mind. Love the methodology by the way.

Jim what about when one symptom that we haven’t had in a long time shows up and immediately causes that fear again, and then that fear starts another symptom to increase??

I am sooo tired of al this!!! Al summer i bean working to get better and I got little better, but yesterday it al came back!! Weak legs, sweaty, dissy and tinnitus and so on. So Howe can I stop this loop??? Al came back because my son was picking at he is 11 and the boy have bullied him for 2 years.

I really like your videos.. I used to listen to them at night as I was falling asleep as well as the day. Now there are ads in the middle and it's quite startling and it takes away from the relaxing factor. Unfortunately that means I'm listening less. The beginning and end ads are ok but the middle one is jarring. 😢

Sounds terrible! I hates the in- between adds allready so much that I decided to pay for a add-free You Tube. 12 a month. .

@@jossjekraayvanger7131 I don't mind ads in general but in the middle makes it hard to use as a meditation. It's just a change I noticed. It's his prerogative to have them if he wants to though.

I recently watched a video you titled " its not a set back" Seems like I always have flare up symptoms from physio. I'm working with a kinesiologist to recover from fusion surgery I had 8 months ago. Feels like she pushes me so hard during the session and then I go home with more pain and symptoms, especially on my day off from phsyio. My back was chronic for so long and needed fusion of my l5 s1. I do physio 3 days a week and always feel like I'm not progressing fast enough to see strength gains and always dealing with symptoms. Just wondering your thoughts about this
