I know zero about D&D. I've even forgotten what I've seen in Stranger Things. But I remember well the Satanic Scare of the 80's (yeah, I'm old). But you say as a DM that you "render" maps. Is there now a digital component to the tabletop game? Like a tool that lets you design your encounters? If so, that sounds pretty cool. Maybe I should go watch a stream and try to learn more about this stuff...

Hello! What i mean by render in this case can be a variety of things. I use an online tabletop simulator, so for me it involves finding maps online or drawing my own. In some peoples cases this will be just hand drawing boxes on paper to simulate a map, and in others it will be using a table with a screen built into it to allow for seamless map integration (some people go hard). it varies a LOT from person to person.
