Please do a follow-up covering: 1. Noise under load comparison vs Bosch 2. How natural it feels in a dynamic-assistance mode (both on rough/rooty terrain and also on very technical terrain where overrun kicks in) 3. Range comparison 4. Resistance with the system turned off As an owner of a bike with a Bosch Performance CX motor, I never use Turbo mode and use EMTB mode instead as I prefer a natural-feeling system with progressive assistance. Your demos showing the bike kicking forward are a negative that I want to avoid on the trails so hopefully they have something similar to Bosch EMTB mode.

@dansadventures5514
@dansadventures5514 7 күн бұрын
@@Yunam.sisandbro the difference in motor weight is pretty much meaningless compared to the overall weight of the bike and rider. Even the choice of tires can make a larger impact on the weight. Most reviewers are raving about the motors with built-in gearbox even though those are heavier. While I like lighter full-power bikes, I don't particularly care where the weight savings come from. I also like less chunky, sleeker-looking EMTBs and a smaller motor helps with that but I don't care about the weight of the motor.

The design seems very similar to the TQ motor with strain wave gear system. This has a lot more torque

Looks awesome! I like that it is quite stealthy as well. It is a shame that the MTB snobs in the US are so against E-bikes. You can't legally ride them on 95% of the trails here.

I wonder what is the Q-Factor for this motor (ie the width)? Important if we want to see it in road bikes with standard BB Width. A comparison of its size with the TQ HRP50 motor would be nice

I was trying to buy a Santa Cruz Heckler this last week. I kinda hope my local bike shop doesn't call me back. i wonder how long it will take for either this unit or the DJI to show up in orderable bikes.

Hoping this makes it possible to make smaller eMTBs, especially for people who need bikes that are truly XS, with appropriate stand-over.

Did they say what the waterproofing rating was, if I was Bosch, Shimano or specialised/brose I would treat this as a huge wake up call 😮🤯

Was waiting on someone making a harmonic or strainwave motor, used for robotic arms. Disapointed they didnt incorporate gearing they missed a step there, this should have been done 10 years ago at least.. im a mech tech and a big shout out goes to Alan Millyard who at least enclosed his gearing sys in an oil bath yonks ago.

No sound from the motor mentioned or shown. Is it silent or does it sound like a washing machine on a rinse cycle ?

Well not exactly their first as they did have the Sachs/BMz in their micro mobility section when it first was introduced ., it has since been sold to BMZ which supplies the batteries for Brose and the former Sachs . i m wondering where ZF gets their batteries from and where exactly is their new motor built/assembled .

looks very wide, what is the Q-factor? What I really want to see are more Pinion MGU competitors. I think that is the future a motor mounted gear box and not the current derailleur setup.

It's a very cool system, but what is the warranty and will it be repairable. That's the information that really can't be missed off if these videos in my opinion Rob.

Did you wahtch the video?...there is a life time warranty. And this system is complitely closed...no need to add oil again during live time at all.

@@josefv8708 They did not say the whole drive system was guaranteed for life. They said the strain wave reduction gear is guaranteed for the life of the motor. The strain wave gear is only one part of the whole system, but an important one that replaces planetary gears and a belt in other systems. Still, no promises made for the other components like the clutch system, torque sensor, motor, battery, controller, etc... .

Now next step would be to get rid of the Derailleur and instead put the transmission with clutch and freewheel into the motor unit. This way the transmission would be better protected, you could use a belt instead of a cain and maybe that way they could add regenerativ breaking, too
