Apexinno is blocking the microphone on the quest 3, (You can probably fix it if you drill a hole where the microphone is. ) It's not perfect, but it's really close to.

I use this cover and it fits great. I've seen no hinderance to venting or anything. Someone had mentioned on another video I've seen about this that it interferes with the built-in microphone, but I've not noticed any difference, nor have the people I've chated with on the headset. It's a great product that does its job well.

I just ordered Sarlar tempered-glass camera lens protectors for Quest 3 on Amazon. It only protects the cameras, so it shouldn't have any heating issues.

FYI for the design that covers the camera. One of the microphones is located in the middle camera lense. So, using the hard cover, it may muffle the microphone severely.

I've been using this cover since Q3 release. I have not had anyone say they have had issues with my audio, and I have not notice any shortcomings. Been working fine for months now

I'm surprised they didn't make a big intake/exhaust vent like the Pico4, it even cooled your face, that hmd was a great design whereas the Q3 barely changed.

Seems to me, if they had cut out the holes where the cameras are, and left a raised ridge, it would still protect the cameras from most impacts without covering the lenses and potentially messing with tracking when they inevitably get scratched.

I bought this about a month ago.. the only issue ive come across is tracking issues. every now n then, one controller would "fly" through the roof then pop back in place. once i took it off, no more issues.

Still have to watch the vid (gonna do it rn) But it makes me curious about it Bratt, have there been improvements for the quest 3's battery finally? I was playing vrchat with some people and they said that their partner who has a quest 3 still has poor battery life when they used it the other day. I thought there was already improvements made for the battery life by now that they've implemented through the updates. I ask this because I might want to get a quest 3 soon cause near my area there's been a few good secondhand sales of some and I really want to pick up one.

Hey Jay, are there any compatibility issues with the official charging dock? EDIT: It does NOT fit the official dock. You could trim it if you're confident enough but out the box it does not fit.

Really like your videos! I was wondering though: why are there so many chapters in them? 20-30s per chapter feels like overkill. It would be more useful to have fewer of them that include more at once.

hi jay, i am using my q3 writing this comment. Im not really enjoying my Q3 but im hoping with time it will become like driving for me and ill be used to it. It does take time. If you figure out you get sick in 20 mins set a 15 mins timer and always stop. Then you can keep upping the time over time

I've never had a set I try stay on through intense play. If a set did I'd think they could be good but two so far have always fallen off and gotten lost

I noticed that the Apexxino cover did increase the heat of my quest three through OVR metrics tool so I ended up taking it off. I just run a bare bones front panel for the best cooling especially because I am pushing games with quest game optimizer 0:58
