Fear is something that we all deal with, but it can have a massive impact on our growth as artists! For most of us, we don't even realize the grips it has on us...

I used to be "ok" at drawing. Then i stopped drawing for almost a year and lost all the skill I had. Right now i´m going through the basics again and trying to improve myself every day but it sometimes gets frustraiting . Videos like this help me a lot to keep going. I hope someday I´ll draw as amazing as you 👊🏻 Love from Mexico

This video is great! I’ve recently started drawing about a month ago, and my fear is the eyes. I can never get them to match just right. But I’ve been just drawing a bunch of eyes recently and they’re improving. My issue is that I’m a 10 out of 100, but I want to be at the 100 level right away, and sometimes forget that all artist had to start somewhere and progress with their skill. So I’m willing to put in the hours, though, and make it work!

This hit really hit home with me! Thank you for sharing, because not a lot of people allow themselves to be vulnerable in any way (myself included)... but if we all did, then we would realize that we are all a lot more alike than we realize. Love your artwork.

Im sad that this video doesn't have even more views! Honestly a lot of us need to hear this and even though I feel like your skill level may be more advanced or wiser than mine it really helps reassure me that it's okay to take things slow and easy and continuing to work my way up because I tend to want to rush everything but I still just need a lot more practice.

I know that this video was made months ago but I've just watched it now and I want to thank you for making these videos. You made me tear up because everything you've just said was so true. Everyday I feel like that I should be better if I want to do art, that I am way behind than others, and I am desperately trying to find out what's holding me back, why can't I improve. And at the end of the day I realise that it was me, my fear all along. But you just showed me that fear is a common thing, that even the best artists I know are afraid of not being good enough. And still they don't give up. So thank you for encouraging not just me but everyone watching this channel to continue doing what we love and don't be afraid of failing. ♡

Thank you for this video. It really encouraged me to practice drawing. Friends and family always say that my art is amazing ,but I never feel that way. After watching this video,I am thinking of just practicing and practicing this year.

Nice! I know that feeling. If you do that you will for sure improve, especially if you ignore how good the outcome of each drawing is.

Something I struggle with is not knowing what to draw. I love drawing and I always *want* to do it, but once I sit down and prepare myself, I never know what to actually draw. Do you sit down with an image planned in mind, or do you just start and see where it leads you? Edit: btw I'm referring more towards portraits and positions of characters, where they're at, what they're doing, etc etc... I always draw a blank :/

One thing I know helps is, what would I draw if I had all the skill in the world? What would make me happy to see created? Then, I go from there.
