Drawing is honestly a weird, weird skill when you think about it. It incorporates intuitive knowledge with practice based knowledge and the simplest of changes in methodology you make can change your entire process as well as the end result. I watched your figure drawing video from a couple of years and followed along but with my own image, and the results just shocked me. Mind you, I have Life Drawing experience from school. But it's just perplexing to me how making angle breaks sharp instead of purposefully smooth can make such a tremendous difference. I urge anyone to go and watch that video from Stephen. I believe it's a 3-part video. I never tried it in college when drawing Still Life or gestures, or even long studies with a model. Just very, very surprising in my experience. Try it for yourself. The results are compelling to say the least.

Everything you said is so true! This video is so inspirational and it’s also where I am at now, I took a break from personal projects and portrait commissions and I am just studying and practicing figure, structure, gesture and anatomy so deeply even when I go to the toilet!
