The waste is used as a cattle feed called “punnaku”. This is called sustainable living where everything gets recycled and nothing gets wasted. This oil has a very earthy flavor and good for health. Peanut oil, sesame oil and coconut oil are the most used ones in southern India and each one has its unique flavor which we won’t get in refined vegetable oils or vanaspathi.

Whatever we r using groundnut oil from packets per ltr around 150 To produce 1 ltr we need minimum 2.5 Kg Raw Groundnut value per kg 120 So around 350 rs need to produce 1 ltr of oil and production charge is added but how we get in 150 rs 1 ltr......? They add petroleum waste product to oil, but how indian food & helth commission gave permission to poisoning oil...!?

100% correct bro...petroleum waste oil called as "solvent oil" they mix with this about 60 to 70%..

I mean to be fair the oil you buy in packets is probably mass-produced. Economies of scale allow for lower product costs. If I can buy the raw materials in bulk, Ill probably get a discount. If I can sell the products in bulk, I can afford to make a smaller profit on each. But I don't know much about production in India so maybe they add petroleum 🤷♂️

in packets ..its not the pure groundnut oil.....its mixture of other oils too and its permitted by govt tp reduce the cost . thats y v get it ..at lower price..😅😅.. only musterd oil is pure.. and rest are mixtures...

That is agricultural products leftover (not weird "cooky") which is mostly used as a food for animals and feedstock.
