Trudeau does not have the right to apologize on behalf of other MP's. Yet again Trudeau refuses to take personal responsibility for anything! Other than the PMO's office, privy council office and foreign affairs agency had the duty to vet everyone who was invited to ensure no threats either physical or diplomatic are there. Had Trudeau's office done its job I can guarantee this never would have happened. Also no other party in the house has the list of who all has been invited other than Trudeau's office. So you can't blame anyone else but Trudeau and the Liberals for this, and to a point you can't even blame 80% of the liberals.

We're still in a situation where there are two opposing stories: it was totally the Speaker's right and responsibility (Liberal claim), and it was the Prime Minister's ultimate responsibility (the Conservatives). The truth is probably somewhere in-between---but only one story (the Cons') is being characterized as "extreme rhetoric".
