Ken had air fire balls in MvC2, I think in X-men vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Street Fighter and in Marvel vs Capcom one if you use ryu's super to switch to the Ken play style.

Well maybe because it totally was an after thought? Having so many characters is not easy thing to do at all. And you make it sound like is so easy to do when your dealing with that many characters expecting few corners being cut is being more important task to do

@@Yoshizuyuner I TOTALLY think of it as an after thought. To work on 74 characters in the initial roster and a story mode in only 2 and a half years definitely tells me that “compromises” were made instead of taking their time.

​​​@@Yoshizuyuner Man. Plenty of clones in other games have been afterthoughts. Just look at the Tekken Tag 2 roster with 54 characters. And even the most clones of clones in that game have more differences than half the Echo fighters. (I'm talking like 2 different moves maximum which is at least SOMETHING) Like I get they were supposed to be minimal effort. And I have no issue with most of them. Lucina, Chrom, and Dark Pit are fine. Ken is pretty much perfect. But would it had kill them to give Daisy, Richter, and Dark Samus at least one single difference? Like nothing crazy. Like literally a single minute change in two moves just like Dark Pit. Daisy and Dark Samus are even more confusing when Custom Moves were a thing on the previous game so they already had animations and data they could reuse.

I feel like Lucina needs more incorporation. Intelligent Systems gave her a lance and a bow, which I feel would give her more identity and appeal as special attacks. But other than that, she’s good.

It's stable now, I have Ult on my laptop. Only downside is that some shaders don't save for some reason (first Link downb per session is a big example but there aren't actually many instances of this).

That is the entire point wow. They added them because it was easy to do not because they were trying to trick you into thinking they would be actual characters. And then people acting like they could do better when the only reason the characters were added in the first place is because they had that little extra time to do so.

@@kayden2119 Well, people can do better. A lot of fans have more time and dedication (or obsessiveness) to do stuff with the game than the employed developers, since it isn't a job to them. Most of them can't because they don't have the necessary computer skills, but some people can, as evidenced by this mod

No they do not do better. They take what was already done and then add on to it. Lets see them do it from scratch. If the smash bros team could just take a pre existing game and make a few tweaks then of course they would do better.@@k-leb4671

The float is insane, that makes her automatically better than samus who is already insane in this game

Plus it's not taking a slot there sharing a spot with the characters they're echoing... Plus players can toggle them....

To be fair I can see daisy doing that but not as good to peach. Daisy in Mario lore has stated she has magic related to flowers but since she's more athletic than magic based compared to peach. But that's my speculation.

Technically they're not considered echo fighters, probably because they were grandfathered in from earlier games. If you notice, they are not placed next to their clone character on the roster like other echo fighters. Same with Young Link I think

It's all based on opinion. Really, I like that HDR takes some of PM/Melee's aspects and tries it out in the engine of ult but its not like they don't add new stuff to make characters more fun and interesting sonic, parying, movement changes I feel like its just trying to be more than the "PM for ultimate" but thats my perspective
