In most areas in the u.s. there's a stereotype that dads are religous about thermostat temperatures (namely due to how much electric bills can cost just by a raise by a single degree in most areas) the joke being that the dad would overe exaggerate the importance of not touching the thermostat.

I come back to watch it on occasion just to relive a bit of that excitement I got from the first time.
