Great video and great instructions. I have used this product and also have totally eradicated flatworms in my tank. The horror stories of tank wipe outs are people not following the instructions and not being ready for the instantaneous die off of thousands of flatworms. For every flat worm you see - multiply 10x the amount in your tank. You need that huge water change and carbon ready to go and get ready to net out the corpses as iyt happens fast. The multiple doses are the key for erradication.

I'm glad you agree and have also had success! Puts truth in my statement/hypothesis

Awesome. Thank you for the tip. I didn't know why they were coming back everytime but now I know I should treat them every 7days at least for a month.

Tried it, didn't work. Every time it only killed 90% of my flatworms. The other ones that looked like they were in a dormant state were unaffected. Even repeated use couldn't kill all flatworm. After several uses only the unaffected flatworms were left. I have only the brown ones, which are only a visual problem, but I'll probably never be able to get rid of them.

Do they recommend to use this as a dip? Seems like a good dip if it kills them in minutes…

Treated my tank, sucked out the dead ones, changed some water, put in a bunch of carbon. Clownfish and coral looking good so far. No protein skimmer.

I have a 14 gallon IM system with no protein skimmer. Can I still use this product safely if I siphoned off the dying worms and did a 50% water change 20 min after treating?
@rulerofthemulti-verse47563 жыл бұрын
While I don’t wanna say “yes” I think that would be fine... really you just have to make sure you’re removing the toxins from the worms, only issue I see with the method you mention is that the medication may not have full effect. This is CCA I’m just logged into my other account. I guess monitor how many worms you have and how many you see dying or coming out after the treatment and adjust your water change as needed. Seeing how a water change is inevitable anyways due to symphoning out the water and worms it seems like a viable option

Can you use it as a dip to corals before adding them

@Jay Iidd you can try visual inspections, dipping corals, or setting up a quarantine tank, nothing is 100% eventually you'll get something, just the way it is

@@CandyCoralAquaticsIt definitely does. It works on brown planaria and the white versions that afflict Goniopora. It does NOT work on aefw.

Sounds like you need to quarantine everything before adding it to main tank but can’t flat worms come naturally from a thriving tank?
@CandyCoralAquatics Жыл бұрын
Like anything else, they are a hiking pest. Even through dips and quarantine you're not guaranteed to get them all.
