“I can’t remember anything I study. I do active recall but nothing is clicking. Nothing I do is sticking”. Well, I 100% know you’re screwing up in one of two ways.
In this video, I quickly go through how I get information to stick in my head. Firstly make sure you’re actually testing yourself properly. Secondly build a basic foundation of all the concepts within a topic by creating a mindmap FIRST… then attack the subject with active recall. Hope you find it helpful, let me know what other videos you want me to make in the comments :)

@estudomedicina4167 where he divided studying into 4 parts Part 1 priming the information ☆creating a mental model ☆ pre-testing Part 2 Absorbing the information ☆creating recall questions while studying . Part 3 retrieving the information ☆ practical questions Part 4 spacing the information. He explained it more in his video of Med school TOPPER'S secret to studying effectively. It is better to watch the video fully by taking notes.

I've been applying your study method and its working for me ....the layering, mind map, making the neuronal connections and the practice Qs .... But,the issue I'm having is time, being able to cover up right before a test, because the studying is kinda slow but it worth it...i don't know of its because I'm a slow learner So any tips for me to be able to cover up early

Any advice on how to fix a bad foundation of basic chemistry and biology knowledge from middle school or highschool? I moved countries and cities every two years which affected my studying and I might've stopped studying altogether in all honesty. Now after my first year at university, I feel defeated. No matter what I do, I have a knowledge gap or brainpower. It makes me feel dumb. I'm innovative and creative. But I have no idea where to start and how to start. Idk much of the mole concept or even what valency truly entails. Apologies for the rant. Writing this here Just in case if you or anyone else could help. I absolutely love studying and my dream is to work in cancer research. I'm confused as to what I should do. Give up or do something. If I should do something, what should I do and how? I have a month of summer break. And I can work hard in it. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Only way to fix foundation is to study the basics again and that too from your standard textbook. Skipping reading a standard book will make you feel leftout and you will miss very minute connecting details which make your foundation. Nothing can beat studying from a book .Take help of videos if you feel so..Hope this helps

#help m a b.a student I have significant apprehension about my studies. I often feel that I am not made for studying and worry I won't be able to continue. Although I know I must study to live an independent life, I struggle because I am a slow learner and dislike studying. I find it hard to sit for long periods, complete topics on time, and I have a phobia of exams. It takes me several days to finish one chapter, while others complete it in much less time. I need constant help from tutors but cannot afford their high fees, and there are no coaching centers for B.A. students in India. I feel dependent on tutors and doubt my ability to succeed without them. Can you help me improve my mindset and suggest ways to overcome my dependency on tutors? I need to develop better study habits and routines.
