My hair has always been arm pit length-bra strap length but the pandemic really helped me reach waist length. Because my hair stylist stop accepting appointments I kept my hair in braids, weaves or wigs. My hair grew a lot and retained soo much length
@ash_grace
@ash_grace 3 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly ❤️ I agree ! A lot of the length I retained simply from just leaving it alone in braids under my wigs. Extra constant manipulation causes extra shedding or breakage for my hair texture ❤️

Heat worked for me. I straighten my hair once a month and keep it straight….and do salon quality treatments during wash days like olaplex or briogeo……I clip ANY split ends and its growin so long! I believe stretched out styles grow hair because a lot less tangles = less breakage…..Even keeping your hair in blow out styles if you don’t want to apply a straightener. But keeping it with my natural curls (was and gos) kept it at a certain length for YEARS. Until I found that group of natural community on KZfaq. Stretched out styles work!

I’m not gone lie wigs have helped my hair journey tremendously. I prep my real hair with washing, trimming, and oiling my hair and then I braid it up and put the wig on for about 1 month. Also I clip my hair as needed. Throw out the 6 to 8 week rule book. If your hair is unhealthy cut it right away. If it’s healthy then leave it alone

@@zazalilboy9402 it’s hard to say, you can start with a basic hair, skin and nails vitamin or you can just take a biotin supplement (liquid or pill) you get more of the vitamin with the liquid. Drink lots of water, eat healthier, get your trims when needed and be consistent . Massage your scalp daily, exercise activities the follicles too because your sweating. If the vitamins don’t seems to help maybe try a collagen powder, one scoop a day in any drink you choose

Other than washing in the shower, it is the only water I use in my hair. (Well besides the JBC oil water by as I am for refreshing). And it makes my hair so soft and manageable.

Heat helped my hair grow. before I started keeping my hair straight, it would not grow. My ends aren't as frayed and I don't get any single strand knots. Also detangling is a breeze. Seems like wash and go's and twist outs was damaging my hair.
@ash_grace
@ash_grace 3 жыл бұрын
I can totally see what you mean! Straightening your hair in my opinion can also be a protective style for some people as well. When my hair is straight I don’t have to detangle/ worry about breakage or friction. As long as your ends are sealed it’s okay every once in a while in my opinion because I like to trim my hair straight and check on my progress every few months. As long as it’s healthy, it will always bounce back curly 💜

Yes Heat protectant spray does help, I use it all the time when I put heat in my hair. However it doesn't cancel out any and all damage that it could do to your hair. Its like a mask for example.. a mask does help protect us against Covid to diminish the risk.. however, its not 100 percent protection to where as long as you wear it you'll never get covid-19..its just simply not true lol. Same thing with heat protectant.. it just reduces the risk of damage. As long as you are careful and use the proper heat settings, your hair will keep thriving 🥰

Tips for keeping hair moisturized when blowdried? I usually moisturize with water and a leave in...but I know using that method isn't the best for straight hair. Any products anyone can recommend?

I've been using this oil for at least 15 years now, and, like you, my hair loves it but my scalp is a different story. So, I only use it once a week during my pre-poo. This way my hair reaps the benefits and not the irritation.👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Jas C Oh no that sucks 😕! ... it could be one of the many oils they use within the product that your scalp doesn’t respond well to. I know peppermint oil depending on a persons scalp sensitivity can cause that as well, but yea I would just stop using this oil until you find a better oil that works for your scalp 💕

The wild growth oil gave me some horrible bumps on my scalp and it was so itchy. Like the worst itch I’ve ever had...once I stopped using it the bumps and itchiness went away. Then I threw away the wild growth oil lol. It wasn’t worth all that craziness happening to my scalp. It seems like other ppl had better luck with it than me lol...I think the oil did work in growing back hair but at the same time I also think it was giving me bald spots idk....I just know it made matters worse for me ... this was over a year or two ago.
