Just had the exam. One suggestion I can give from my listening section experience is never to write down or try to remember numbers. All of the listening audio's had numbers in them, whether it was speed of airplanes, age of a dynasty, number of days, weather speed and so on. They were irrelevant, no question asked for any numbers. Nearly 80% of the questions were about opinions of the Professors, so try to remember those and write down those, do not try to rememberer numbers.

@@ak9562 First few questions were about yourself and city you live in. Then they have a conversation audio and after you listen they ask you what one of the talkers in the audio thinks / their opinion is on the subject they are talking, then another audio with conversation of 2 people where they ask you to say which opinion is better and you support... I would refer you to the Toefl Reddit web site which is somewhat active and people there will give you many answers including all the newest info, you just need to ask in a new thread.. www.reddit.com/r/ToeflAdvice/

Ok!! Just received my scores: Reading: 29/30 Listening: 28/30 Speaking: 21/30 (not a native English speaker!) Writing: 27/30 Total: 105/120.. Im happy with the score! :) Big thanks to Yash!

@@luiza7453 Try to read and understand the whole passage before answering any question. I did not write down any notes during my reading session. So it's not necessary. Trying some free online reading tests will surely help you out. Also try the official reading passages provided by ETS. :)

@@claudebatjom1235 I actually did not prepare much for TOEFL as I was parallelly preparing for GRE. I will say approx. 1-2 weeks. Its not that tough.

Thanks for the tips. My unofficial scores for reading and listening are 26 and 30. Not really aiming for high scores. Just enough to get my license. Im crossing my fingers that i got the 26 from speaking if not, i will just try again. I didnt prepare much, I watched you videos 1 day before my exam.

Sonam Improve your vocabulary. And listen to VOA to get used to standard American accent.

not actually. they do not permit it to happen because tech has improved a lot and earphones might be connected to a teacher that has a chat with you and answers the questions if you had brought your own one, so mission impossible

well you actually can bring earplugs so it's relatively easier not to be distracted during reading and writing sections, the stuff will only check them for earphones (some put them into earplugs) and that's it

Why is it so hard for Indians to learn basic consonants of English! I am a Persian speaker of English and I had to learn 2 new consonants, one diphthong, and at least 4 adjusted consonants including t! You speak English in your country for God's sake! There is no excuse that could possibly justify this mispronunciation! Indian is actually a sister of German prototype which is the mother of English. However, even Arabs enunciate words better than Indians, not to mention Turks whose language is completely different from English! If you really got 119 in TOEFL, it won't take you more than a week to improve your pronunciation!
