That’s one thing I noticed when watching some highlight videos of this player and that’s how good of a defender he is..he wins the ball then in a split second his gone with the ball at his feet and attacking down the wing..I think under Emerys coaching this players potential is limitless

Quality player said it at his burnley days! Id love him down the villa ! Watching him last season! Was unreal that bang out the blue we sign him! UTV Quality ALOT of potential, a mixed LB of both alex an digne ! But for me alot better.. HOPE we keep up the Quality incomings... defo need that luiz replacement now ..

Such a great addition last season out lb spot never really got going so I’m very excited about this one a very well rounded player young and has brilliant pace too add the extra Emery can get out of him and we potentially have the best lb in the prem

We should look at buying Branthwaite due to his young age, english, and his price range will just go up and up. I think Unai is sorting the defense and CDM issues because if you don't concede goals, you'll move up the table, and we can score on the break. He wants a team that is stable for 5 years cause he just signed a 5 year deal.. so the players he buys - he will use for the 5 years and the following seasons will be branding rights.

70m give or take for a CB at this time is too much for us to be spending though in my opinion maybe when we become more established as a Champions League club we can splash that type of cash on a single player but right now we need to fit atleast 2 players into that 70m in different positions. I get it's 14m with amortisation but that's a lot going into psr that we have to cover still nevermind the wages.
