If he is currently in AIT then phone time should be given more often. All AIT privileges such as phones, differ from what MOS you are in, to what base you are on, to what company you are in. They all have an affect to it. My ait allowed phones full time after classes and on weekends after you pass a star board which is every 2 weeks. while my friends who are 88m only got phones on weekends. So they might have a rule they aren't allowed phones until a certain time frame like 4 week into it or something along those lines. There is probably videos on youtube if you look up CBRN ait videos they might have more information on that.

Yes, the farthest you can go without a pass was to the px near by to get a haircut or supplies, it was earned and im pretty sure they are back to the star board method where you have to earn it. They were bringing it back when i was leaving. The pool was revoked cuz of covid should be back now, but the gym they didnt let us go because their was supposed to be a drill sargent or instructor present there to watch. Idk why that was their reasoning, could of changed by now. And if you mean do you have to have a battle buddy after graduating ait then no. Unless youre still staying at company after you graduate till you leave, then yes. Battle buddy system after that doesnt really exist besides like riding in vehicles or deployment when you leave post.

You’re able to bring it for 12R idk if bravo company changed its rules since I’ve been there. But last rule they made before I left is to wait 2 weeks and then pass your star board then you can have your electronics (phone, laptop,speaker etc) the service at bravo barracks isn’t bad but isn’t the best some people bought portable hotspots

@@privateruski7018 I spoke to someone who went to Fort Leonard Wood and he said that he had to wait weeks for his classes to start. How long did it take you to start classes from the date you got to ait? I leave for FLW July 21st to do my 12R ait and was hoping to get back by September to start college. What do you do while you wait for those classes to start?

@@iPepy Classes start whenever theirs enough people to start one. For me i came to the company on a thursday and didnt start until monday. They dont start new classes until a following monday or tuesday. Romeos usually have a class starting every 1 to 2 weeks. I think rarely was there a class that started 3 weeks after another one for romeos. Might be different now idk. But for the most part it's just waiting to get in and if theres enough people for your class. Since there was so much romeos they would only accept a certain amount at a time so if the class was full you would have to wait till the next one. But they prioritize reserve and guard over active so they would get into the class first. And if there's an open spot left then an active duty romeo would get in. But while you wait you will be in a holder/hold under platoon. Idk if they still have that in bravo. But before the new commander and first sargent. You were able just to chill in your room or dayroom. Now you have to clean literally all day i believe, idk if they changed that. Also you could be sent with someone to sick call or dental etc. Weekends would just be a regular weekend.

I’m current at 12N AIT at Leonard wood, 7 weeks in we do not have phones, do not have weekend passes, so I doubt it sadly.

Me personally I slept or watched movies. And get a haircut when I needed one. But no there’s no PT but you can go outside and down your own PT. You do have to go to breakfast with the company cuz pass is after breakfast and ends before dinner chow so you’ll eat dinner chow with the company as well. Lunch if you stay, you have to go with the company to the dfac. Though you don’t have to eat. If you’re out on pass you can go get your own lunch and don’t have to come back for lunch

Don’t rush your tests be calm about or you’ll forget your steps. I believe y’all do a test for even operating equipment which y’all learn one every week. And I think the first free days y’all do a very broad learning on surveying. There’s 2 companies ones about more stricter then the other and one has an open bay instead of dorms but they could of moved backed into the remodeled dorms. You get 2 tries on test so don’t stress over them honestly. I heard it’s fun. I was going to do it but oh well. If you’re active don’t expect to do your job all the time and be ready to most likely stationed with 12 bravos lol

i got home and was told to contact my RSP within 72 hours i believe. Then i called and they told me when to come in and what to bring. After that they process me in and tell me when to come by again to do a "battle hand off" to my unit which was the month after. so my first drill with my unit wasnt until 2 months after i came back
