Fermented Bamboo Shoot is food o the rainy season. Every year grandma would pick the best shoots around our farm and preserve it in salted water so we can enjoy it for the rest of the year. The sour and savory bamboo shoot comes with a crunchy texture. We normally use it in curries, soups or even pan-fry.

How long will it stay eatable, i have a bottle which is more than 2 years old, getting a bit worried to eat

You mean we have to add salt while fermented bamboo shoots?

Yes. We have to add salt. The bamboo shoot will become sour and salty afterwards.

After 5days, the top part turn to black. What is that mean? Can u please respond to my comment😊

Over time, the top part could turn dark, signifiying the oxidization process. Make sure the lid is closed properly. Regardless, it's still good to eat Enjoy. 😊
