Taking down the four dams that changed the Klamath River region will help restore fish habitat and could allow some Native people to reclaim homes.

I literally get sick to my stomach that even today that Natives have to fight just water. Even though it’s illegal to refuse any human water. This is a nice thing that will have huge impact on life-all kinds of it. Bring hope strength nature peace in hearts and perhaps more changes! Greed is the end. Let’s overcome LETS Allow life to flourish.

I'm all for it too, just make sure the natives have the same fishing rules applied as the white folk. No netting.

I am absolutely THRILLED to see the removal of the dams, but there is far more to do. There will be little water in the river (if any) during the hot, dry summer months unless the restoration returns thousands of beavers into the river and its tributaries. Beaver dams create wetlands that create healthy habitat for countless animals, plants, insects, and fish, and water from those wetlands will provide water to the river in the hot, dry summer months. Without the beavers, the river will dry up completely some years, creating pools of foul-smelling water mosquitos will breed in. Saving the river will be much more difficult than most people imagine. Removing the dams is just the first step. I hope the tribes will be successful in their efforts to save the river and the fish and wish that I could do more to support their efforts.

I believe in the First Nations. They have been protecting the water for time immemorial.

Wonder how they feel about this now.....now that EVERY fish is dead and the water is too toxic even be in. The lower tribes are being used to garner public support, yet the Shasta Indians upriver are against this. The Klamath was NEVER an ideal river for salmon spawning in the headwaters. In some years the river would actually disappear under ground. The dams improved water quality. This is a huge mistake they just make.

How are we going to save enough water to water crops in the summer without reservoirs, let alone the power lost from removing the dam. Solve that question first and then get rid of it.

Obviously you are not from here and have no idea what is going on here, do some research before you act like you know what is going on!

14 seconds in and I realize this is not a serious issue, it’s and emotional one. People that big should not complain about having enough fish to eat. All of their arguments were nonsensical. Water is too warm??? 🤨Stagnant?? 🤨 They clearly don’t know how damns work. How many people will lose water to their house? How high will electricity prices go up? These are the same people that advocate for electric cars and then advocate for the removal of the thing that creates electricity. Indigenous people always complain about “their” land and then happily take their government checks to the liquor store.

You're just the type of person who would advocate for a sick river devoid of fish.

Water too warm, correct Stagnant, correct "how many people will lose water to their house-0 "How high will electricity prices go"-0 "These are the same people that advocate for electric cars"-false "Indigenous people always complain about “their” land and then happily take their government checks to the liquor store." wrong, they own the casino nearby. Do some research first!

@@TinShackVideos It seems like you don’t know how a power plant works. You should do some research. You’ve also never spent much time on the res.
