Video Description:
Here's our question for today from Peter.
[Q] Doc, I started taking Benfotiamine about 3 weeks ago. How long does it usually take before I should expect to see some improvement.
[A] Hi Peter. We get asked this question in a variety of ways, all the time. For instance, people may be taking Benfotiamine, or R-ALA or Methylcobalamin, independently and they'll ask us when they'll start to feel better. So, here are a few things that are important to understand, first.
In 19 years, we've treated over 15,000 cases of peripheral neuropathy and what we've found is that most people will get the best response when they're taking all of the critical nutrients for nerves that we outlined in our video: Vital Nutrients for Nerve Repair. Now, don't get me wrong, there'll be many people that experience improvement when they just take Benfotiamine, or just R-ALA, especially if their neuropathy is mild to moderate. However, they'll hit a brick wall, typically after a short period of time. We've seen the best results when people take a good quality nerve support formula that contains benfotiamine, R-ALA, Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate, Methylcobalamin and Folate. This is the bare minimum, but if they can also add in L-Citrulline and Acetyl L Carnitine, this gives them tremendous leverage in their nerve repair, IF, these ingredients are taken in the correct amounts outlined in clinical studies. If you don't know what that is, don't worry, we did a video on that called 'The Right Dose".

What should I do with 2 bone spurs pressing severely on my spine(C5-C6), and yet 2 years ,2 different Drs said , don’t need Surgery yet, but nothing is worse that trying to sleep. How do u not sleep on a pillow, and presses even more into my spine. I can’t sit , even after doing 3 fusions lumber surgeries. U recommended see a good chiropractor, and I did . All my extremities burn , and hurt. Sitting and sleeping r the worse. The chiropractor said I have degenerative disease, and won’t touch as other chiropractors also said. How do I get rid of the bone spurs, and what cause them?I wish u would do videos on Scar tissue And degenerative disease All the chiropractor recommended was post electro magnetic therapy? Should I invest in that or red lite. I don’t know what to do at this point. The only pinched nerve would be from scar tissue. No more lumber surgeries. How can I get rid of scar tissue, bone spurs, and stop degenerative disease?

Nerve damage takes an awful long time to heal! I severed a nerve in my right index finger. That took 5/6 years to fully heal. I had 4 lumbar surgeries in which my big toe became numb. After a year, it went from being numb to constantly tingling. A couple of years later, it disappeared. I just started taking ALA with Benfotiamine and I am extremely excited to see what happens. I know it won’t happen quickly but it has to start somewhere!

I started noticing a small difference at about the 3 to 4 week point. If you purchase the rights stuff, keep taking it, it WILL work. The product i bought included: Benfotiamine, Alpha Lipoic acid, acetyl L-Cartimine, B12, D3, and B6. Another trick that actually can speed up the process. Take a low dose cialis as it opens up the blood flow better to the nerves.

Hi, Diane Connell. From clinical research, we discovered that specific vitamins help facilitate nerve repair for peripheral neuropathy. For more information, you can check out these two videos: Vital Nutrients for Nerve Repair kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbaiqNRlnpPPo4k.html The Right Dose kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mrF9g7CBr7OYeo0.html I know from experience that it is difficult to find the right types of vitamins at the therapeutic level in most stores. When I was searching for my mom to help her with her peripheral neuropathy, I had to buy 7 different bottles of nutrients which cost close to $300 for a 1-month supply. Now, I know that is a lot and taking that many vitamins is very hard to do. So, we created a formula that supplies all the vital ingredients at the therapeutic dose in 2 bottles: Nuphoria cm Gold and Nerve Defense. You can purchase them at nuphoria.com, or call our customer support line at (844)400-0101.

Regarding pain management, CBD/CBG oil greatly helps my neuropathy symptoms (pretty much removes them completely) while I wait for my nerves to slowly heal with the help of lifestyle changes, proper nutrition, and supplements. Interesting! Can you recommend a particular CBD and CBG and in what combinations it helped you? I’ve had tingling and muscle twitching from the buttocks to my feet constantly for 22 years. I was injured in a rock climbing accident and crushed some of the nerves in the pelvic region. I only recently discovered this channel. I knew about many of the supplements but I got it all wrong throughout the years. I either used garbage supplements, not a therapeutic dose, or didn’t stick with them long enough. Plus I didn’t take seriously the nutrition aspect of it. But 22 years later here I am. It’s been grueling to live with this condition. I’m looking for any suggestions. Thanks!

I'd suggest you add 2g Krill oil daily, containg 800mg+ phospholipids for myelination and cell-wall repairs. Good reduction in pain, which is first order of business, can be seen in 3days if not the next day. Demyelination is a major cause of pain and peripheral neuropathy that needs to be fixed with P-5-P, Methylfolate, Methylcobalamin, Benfotiamine and B2. Krill oil just provides the raw material for this myelination.

Steven I'm going to give you a friendly warning on duloxetine. Get off of it as soon as possible!!! Duloxetine is a medication that over time causes neuropathy to worsen. To top that off, if you try to come off of it after being on it for awhile, and you don't titrate down by just 10% every few weeks, it can cause brain shocks as you come down by more or just stop it. Of course the doctors don't tell you all of this and the pharmacy, at least my pharmacy, won't titrate the med down for you as it only comes in 30mg & 60mg capsules. God bless you Stephen. I pray that you are able to heal your neuropathy quickly and get off of duloxetine safely.❤️

I’ve looked at a variety of your videos and feel “ take two aspirin and call me in the morning” to be equitable to “ take 200 mg of alpha-Lipoic acid and 200 mg of COQ10 per day, and I’ll see you again in 1 year”. (The later being the Drs prescription). I feel your Nuphoria is for me. (With L-citulline and ALC❗️. Any comments❓also any differences between Alpha Lipoic and R-Lipoic❓. Thank you so much❗️. You are in San Antonio TX yes❓

I'm not a doctor, just from my own experience, Peripheral Neuropathy can be due to excess B6 (you don't need more than 12mg per day [frankly I get 6mg per day and am very happy with that]) or excess heavy metals. ALA is often suggested where this is a possibility or when the doctor does not know the cause and wants to try a few things just in case, ALA is known to bind to B6 and heavy metals that have accumulated affecting the nerves / circulation in the extremities and remove them, it is unlikely to do you any harm but make sure you get the right type (this channel "The Nerve Doctors" have done a good clip on that), ALA can be a bit hard on your stomach but if you take it after a big meal it can help with digestion and doesn't usually cause any discomfort... re CoQ10 only know that is good for overall circulation / heart health. Vit E in small doses is also good for circulation at the extremities/capillaries (200IU -300IU a day is very unlikely to hurt you [it is what I take] but I do not recommend more as this can be questionable overall benefits wise in bigger doses so doctors are sometimes a little reluctant to recommend this as patients often ignore dosing instructions and get carried away). If you suspect that your liver / internal organs may need a little help / may have been through the wars NAC might help, (works best when taken with very small doses of Vit C and Vit E), ask your doctor about NAC first though as I do not know what medication you are on.

CoQ10 is often recommended to ppl on statins. Statins deplete your natural CoQ10. I came off my CoQ10 2 months after stopping the statin and my weak/aching legs got so bad. It took a long time to think about what I'd changed and try taking it again. It helped after just 3 days. I take 300mg a day, the standard dose.

I got better on Benfotiamine after taking one in the morning empty stomach and another one at night empty stomach as well as the the other vitamin I had no pain after doing this in addition to all others except after a month I quit Berberine because I lost no weight at all and I eat very little! More at breakfast almost nothing else just one chicken Tenderloin and potatoes and cauliflower with sprinkles of Spinach. Small amounts. I have just had neuropathy a little over a month and a half! My friend has it bad for years and it made me scared I would also ! I started walking at 6:00 or in the morning 3 or 4 days a week. I ride my stationery Bike any days I don’t walk. Then gathered all my supplements I needed and started taking those. It took a little time to figure out the schedule for them because some need fat when you take them like Vit. K2. It’s hard to get it all going! Benfotiamine is Vit.B1 …

If you really want to heal the core problem, Then you provide nutrients at levels those Organs or systems require. Everyone heals At a different rate. Maybe some of you need to learn what symptoms Are, in the holistic pov.

Brilliant talk/video✌️💜😊👍 My doctor's have cast me adrift, they have very poor knowledge of nutrition or supplementation etc, that's affected my health dangerously. Only my own research has led me here, hope it's not too little too late🤞🤞 Can Benfotiamine stir up peripheral neuropathy if too much is taken to start with? Is it best to start low and build up? I seem to have B1 deficiency symptoms alongside B12, I supplement B12 and now take a B Complex and have just started Benfotiamine too. I don't suppose your supplements are available in the UK🤔🤞🤞✌️💜

Ain’t that the truth! I’ve had issues for 22 years and I’ve gotten more education from this channel than all of the doctors I’ve seen in the past. They don’t want to hear about your pains and suffering. I’ve heard that it’s all in my head. One doctor said geez sounds debilitating, and then quickly ushers me out of his office. We have to take control of our healing. It’s taken me a long time to find anything that works. I’m hoping the supplements these doctors talk about will help. I’m going with their 8 step program that’s laid out in one of their videos. It’s gonna include a complete overhaul of my diet and lifestyle. But I hope it’s worth it.

To my knowledge there are no known toxicity from supplementing Thiamine even in extreme doses. I take 100mg TTFD and 300mg of Benfothiamine 3 times a day and it has helped me tremendously. The only thing to take in consideration, if you’re going to be mega dosing you can experience what’s called paradoxical symptoms, your symptoms will get worse before they get better. I can recommend checking out Elliot Overton here on KZfaq. He’s probably the leading expert right now when it comes to Thiamine and how to use it therapeutically.
