@vincentdeleon40925 күн бұрын
@@mrworldwiderasict1503yeah but if you get stronger, you should be progressing in weight. Meaning more rest time, so overall rest times shouldn’t change very much. There’s no one right answer for anything as well, some people recover faster than others. Some people benefit from both longer and shorter rest times depending on the muscle group. It’s all about how you use them. Shorter times for building endurance, longer if you’re training heavy it’s not a huge difference in the long run unless you’re training very seriously and optimizing everything to compete.

Guys dont think in boxes. 2-3 minutes in general is good for hypertrophy since you are fully recovered. If you are very fit though with good cardiovascular system, you could start the next set earlier if you are not heavy breathing anymore. But in general, if you push a set close enough to failure, you shouldnt be able to push hard in less than 2 minutes because this means something was wrong with your intensity in the previous set. Also don't think you should always have to do 3 and 4 sets in each exercise. If you push hard enough you can do 2 or even 1 set per exercise in some cases. Just be sure to calculate your weekly volume of sets P.S. exception for all of this are small muscle groups like: side delts, biceps, calves in which you might be able to go after even 1 minute, because they are usually not so fatiguing for your nervous system 😉

It’s actually shorter for hypertrophy sets, it’s generally around 1-2 minutes, we prescribe 90s as a general rule. When you get closer to strength training lower reps, 6 lower that’s where you would start resting for longer than 2 or 3 minutes.
@PropertyTrippers3 күн бұрын
@user-dt1rp4ic1x if you train like a beginner girl yeah it could be...but there is no such thing as lower reps. 5-30 reps gives the same hypertrophic result if you are training hard enough. @ve28343 күн бұрын
Yeah machines less so for sure because if you have to share it’s easier to setup your weight and seat height. I’ll avoid it if I can though just personally like to focus on the task in hand rather worrying about timing my rests with someone else and then working on a different muscle group which i feel takes you out of the mind to muscle zone. Also I had a bad experience with an entitled super setter who clearly had roid rage and possibly a small penis as a result both of which I publicly addressed. Luckily there were some level headed people there to diffuse the situation, the guy was unnaturally large.
@ronathsomaratne23173 күн бұрын
@ve2834 sure it's not for everybody and ya some ppl think jus cuz they're doing a superset both the machines are in there possession no u jus do some other exercise while the muscle u worked out previously is at rest so u no longer use the previous machine its not necessary but if u wanna ensure u get the most work done in da least time and u like supersetting in general u can not a must personally for me jus doing nothing in between sets makes me feel lethargic and kills my drive I like to keep the intensity going but dat doesn't mean u jump off to the next exercise in milliseconds sometimes I take 20-30 secs but ya it works for me each to theirs own

Depends on the specific goal or adaptations you are seeking. But for hypertrophy, generally I do until I feel ready enough that I can hit the same number of reps for the next set. Depends on the exercise that I'm doing and intensity as well. 2-3 minutes is usually good enough, but sometimes it is better to not over think it and do what your body is telling you This is a good guideline, but make sure to tweak it and not hyperfocus on the time rested.
