How mini twists broke my hair

Before breaking my 2 year long hair growth plateau using mini braids and a couple of other things, I actually had some set backs with mini twists which made me put the hair style on my black list for protective styles that I'll never attempt again.
But I was just ignorant of many things...things that I still see some type 4 naturals unconsciously do while complaining that mini twists are a scam!

Twist your hair at the ends in the opposite direction when taking it out. It unravels the ends so they dont rip off. It works for me so whoever sees this can try it or moisturize your hair before so it detangles. Best of luck.

Nice content❤. So, how often do you wash your hair? Do u wash on mini twists or after taking it down?

Happened to me too, no matter what size the twist are. The way I avoid that bad breakage from twist. Is by braiding the roots first. Original twist just lock way too fast. Mine got lock just from washing in twist. Even tho the twist were fresh.
