What an awesome bible you have. I like it when old bibles have writing in it from previous owners from that generation, makes you appreciate it more. I just bought an old king James bible dated 1675, it's suppose to be a rare first edition Oxford bible printed at the theater and it had writing in it to from previous owners dated back to the 1700's & and 1800's but it's just their names though and what year they died, but it's a very nice bible and I was wondering if you can tell why is it considered a first edition and why does it say printed in the theater?

i recently purchased a small quarto 1595 geneva bible from the U.K. for $1300.00

I have the pronouncing edition of the complete concordance Bible, created by the united states centennial commission. It's inlaid in gold throughout the entire book. All of the drawings in it are inlaid in gold too. It's truly a beautiful work of art. It's from the 1870s. And I'm trying to find a buyer. Current value is around $700-1000. Each picture from within the book can easily be sold for $200 each, because of the gold inlays and because of the artist work is just amazing, however to destroy that book like that for money is just dumb, so I'm trying to sell it to a collector who will care for it properly

I have my family’s Bible and I’ve been trying to find the approximate date it was printed. When it was given to me by my mom back in the early 2000s she said it was probably 100 years old. I’m pretty sure it is now. It was in my great grandmother’s cedar chest when she died in the 90s. I have the Bible and cedar chest now. The paper doesn’t feel like Bible paper. But it doesn’t feel like regular paper either. And that may be due to age. When I turn the pages I have to be very careful or they fall out.

I have one from 1650. It’s small and the clasps are gone. Published London. My dad found it when he was a bin man. I feel humble when I hold it.

I remember that time you brought a Geneva Bible on Pawn Stars, still surprised Corey didn't end up nabbing it, let alone tossing a lowball! Still wish I could make to New York for the fair though ;_; Also, on a related note, I do have an early 16th century bible myself I've never really the chance to show to other antiquarian dealers in person, any chance I could contact you about that? It'd be nice to get a second opinion on price.

I always regret selling a very old Bible late 1400's it had metal clasps on the binding, I had to sell it cuz of divorce, I lived i. UK and collected antique books I used to sell them to a book broker in Philadelphia, send pics they approved FedEx the book and they pay pal me, i sold it for $1600 it hurt me greatly, but I had to feed my kid.
