A few hours of a weekend for me. With my newer consoles (PS4) I really try and finish games I buy before moving on.

great video man great idea :) i find i do about 1-2hrs a night mainly due to i like to spend time allot of my time on family and work takes up allot of day.

Great subject mate. Well I would love more time to play! But at the moment I get about 2hrs for 3 nights of the week and Saturday nights I get about 4/5 hours in :)

I’m pretty disciplined. 1 hour of video games on work days. But on weekends it’s nothing but video games, pizza deliveries and beer.

Not as much as i used to play 4 years ago.. I used to play 5 hours a day, weekends can go for up to 10 hours or more.. Now though i have a busy life and people to tend to so i only play in between, that is why i pretty much play handheld only, i can play for 5 min put it down come back after awhile and pick up where i left.. I still play console on weekends but that is 2 hours a week if i ever play.. Oh good old days =_=

Generally, 2-4 hrs a day. But when I have a free day with nothing else to do, I can easily play up to 10 hrs.

Great video mate. For me it all depends on shift but it will be about a minimum of 2 hrs as I do most of my gaming from 10 pm onwards and on days off. But like you I am a fan of the NFL and for us the live games show at 1am so I have to record and watch it the next day if I can so that will start to take my time up aswell. So all in all I'm about 2-4 hrs a day I would say and when I get a new game I will test it for a little but will always go back to what I was playing and try and avoid a back log. When gta 4 came out I went to a midnight launch but didn't play it for a week lol

By your definition, I'm a hardcore gamer. I game ALOT! Yesterday, I think I played Final Fantasy IX for about 8 hours and I intend to do more than that today. As I'm playing it right now. But I do have my attention towards other things. Basically Gaming, KZfaq, and Writing is my life. XD However Gaming and KZfaq get the most time out of me because I can do those at the same time given that the majority of the people I watch, I can listen to them like a podcast.

It has changed massively over the years for me Spiller you sexy stud muffin. I used to be on them from morning to night as a kid right through my teenage years even to the point of not doing stuff like homework, they consumed my life. As a very young adult it was still a solid few hours a day as it became a more social thing around friends houses and something to look forward too after spending all day listening to whichever dumb boss from whatever rubbish company I was working for. When I went into the full time retail aspect of selling games it actually had the opposite affect as I found that most of the time I was just playing things to gain knowledge to help people with purchases. I excelled at the sales aspect completely however found that over time I was playing less and less for me. I thought it was because I was doing this for someone else, other peoples customers etc. When I opened my own game store for a short time the play returned as it felt more like fun than research however after about 3 years it once again became tiresome, by the end of the many many years I had once again fallen out of love with gaming because of the huge swing from the innocent scene into this massive triple A juggernaut we still have today. I am as you well know not a fan of most modern gaming aspects including the markets shift to Q4 blockbusters and the slow death of the smaller releases lost between the cracks. Some days it feels like people only play COD, FIFA and Assassins Creed and honestly I don't think the online community is a good place for me at all gaming wise. A few years ago I shifted focus back to the stuff I grew up with and for sure it made me happier, I still bought new machines and games however they don't last long with me, they seem to complete themselves mostly plus how many more FPS games do we all need right? With strategy and tactical based games I can get lost for hours at a time though so Disgaea D2 has made me smile loads recently and large play sessions of say a left for dead 2 or a borderlands because of the co-op element are moments where I feel I can still play a part of the scene of now. Generally though I would say at most I play for about an hour a day, sometimes more at weekends and it's a mixture of retro and new stuff now but the slowdown overall is easily noticeable. I kind of enjoy writing about the old days more and meeting others who feel the same than playing stuff because I like the old school people element. I think a lot of people of the late 30's and over probably have had similar moments of real change as well. When you are young you want everything but as time goes by you get a bit more selective and comfortable with your own taste rather than being part of a larger force. I'm not casual because the term to me means part time interest in gaming, I'm not hardcore because the term annoys me and honestly it's one of those stupid tags people love to place upon themselves. I guess I just like what I like when I feel like playing it, sometimes for hours on end, other times for a few minutes here and there. Probably not what you wanted exactly buddy, sowiee. But it is what it is and I am who I am plus I wanted to join in cause we are friends. I reckon other people will say similar things though... I don't wanna be the freak Hehehehehe x

I used to be hardcore when I was younger but it is a lot less than I would like to these days. I guess being a grown up with less continuous free time at my disposal I tend to have pretty short bursts of gaming instead of putting long hours into a single game. I pull quite a few shifts at odd hours and also the odd night shifts so I do have days off that I could end up playing videogames. Or perhaps during a slow on-call shift where I get to stay home be on call on the phone and play a video game. Of course being interrupted and having to answer the call ruins quite a lot of the gaming-experience with certain games. I've set myself the goal to actually finish games and stick to a game (longer and different from quick arcade games) until I finish it. But I need to be fit and fresh and in the mood for playing a game that requires a lot of time and being in the mood not always happens at the right times. :) Handheld retrogaming on the side probably makes up the majority of my gaming these days.

I play whenever I get the chance really. Handheld devices are a life saver for someone like me who shares the TV and/or is constantly travelling. Any time there are tounaments on the horizon though, I find myself hogging the telivision and putting in a lot of hours in the practice room. Spud.

Man, I hardly get any time apart from when creating videos for TGS... Damn shame really. Wish I could play games like I used to when I was a teenager!! :)

Interesting... I tend to play Sunday/Wednesday and Friday evenings for about 2/3 hours, I used to mix up the games I played on those evenings but only recently I have been concentrating on just 1 game at a time, however there may be a cheeky hour other days but that is usually with my son or a lighter pick up and play title like trials fusion on the ps4 :-D

Wait a minute where did you get this idea from?? ;) Nice vid dude. Me personally I can't play for too long anymore as I use headsets a lot and it gives me a bad neck which turns into massive headaches all within a few hours. Otherwise I can play for quite a long time. Nothing like when I was a teenager though :)

I get all the mundane stuff out the way first and when it comes to Gaming trust me I make time hehe plus why change the habit of a lifetime :D

Since my work schedule changed, I only game on weekends. Maybe 6 - 8 hours each day.

Shoot man these days I'm lucky to get in a couple of hours a week. I definitely put a lot more time into my collection and my videos than I do actually gaming =(

With pro wrestling shows & training Taking care of 2 kids, I only have time to play late night at Work which is 3 days a week, i take my PS4 to Work and play for 7 hours

I'm full on Hardcore my Brother! but then you already knew that didn't ya hehe, I usually pull about 8-10 hours a day depending , have done ever since I was a kid, remember when the PlayStation launched I'd be at school all day then end up playing till like 3am before getting up at 7am for my paper round hehe without Gaming there is no Shady, and not a COD or FIFA in sight :)

I do not have the patience to play games for long periods of hours anymore :(

Me I play my ps3 and ps4 everyday sometime for hours sometime bout 2 to 3 on the week but the weekend I go in I try put up a video three time a week

I play 24/7 I don't stop,
