I know the feeling. I got scammed out of $350 for a sound system in the parking lot at Walmart about 15 years ago. Dude was selling them in a van with a trendy logo. It literally didn't even work, the subwoofer, speakers were all complete trash. Today it's seems insane, but back then, having a home sound system was like a cool thing, whereas today, it's almost standard. I called the police, filed a report, called the BBB, tried tracing the phone number and email, the whole time in denial, knowing deep down I was wasting my time. It takes a while to get over, because it'll make you question your own intelligence, your sanity even. Scammers and con-artists are so good at what they do. Humans can be disgusting and despicable. It happens to all of us, at least once in our life. Valuable learning lesson. If I ever see that twerp again...I'm beat all $350 off his ass...Lol

Thank you for sharing. People get away with so many crimes because the victims are embarrassed, so great on you for taking that step. I remember buying a motherboard a long time ago from someone with connections, and paid him to install it. It didn't work. He said not his problem, and the company wouldn't talk to me because I didn't buy it from them. So I paid a guy to install a broken motherboard and was left with a computer that didn't work.

I had to re-upload the video because the music got a copyright but not a strike. The original had the music pulled halfway through the video but then all the audio got pulled as well.

For me, it’s not so much the money lost that bothers me…it’s the fact that I got taken. A couple years back I found a DS game lot on Marketplace…it was a bunch of loose cart little kids games with a couple Pokemon games mixed it. I met the lady in person and didn’t even think to dump out the sandwich bag full of games before I paid. Turns out they had removed the Pokemon games before giving me the bag… More recently, I made a 3 hour round trip for a killer Gamecube bundle…when I got there, the guy offered to throw in some NES stuff for me. I thought he was just being nice, but when I got home I realized he had taken a couple of the better Gamecube games out of the box before I picked it up. The NES stuff was worth more than the games he removed, but even still I would have rather had him just tell me straight up that he already had made a deal with someone else on a couple of the Gamecube games…

funny thing is if you got scammed using a credit card you would have gotten all your money back. Banks are an entirely different story as you found out.
