You are correct, the 450 C/C would have a 16500# GVWR therefore giving this truck a 7300# payload. This would require a non commercial DL. The suspension is different on the C/C however 👀

If you’re talking about the fifth wheel gooseneck adapter, that will damage the frame over time especially for something this big. The Reese GB doesn’t have enough capacity although the Gen Y may have a higher GTW/hitch weight capacity for this. I agree, having a C/C for something this big may be in your feature, even some Toy Haulers need them 👍🏾

😆 Ford trucks are definitely the leader in innovation and tech but I prefer to follow the payload. It’s too bad you can’t raise the GVWR to 14800#’s because then the 450 would have enough capacity 👍🏾

My F-350 2020 tow capacity for bumper pull is 20,000 lbs. For a 5th wheel is 32500 lbs.

Like I said to each his own personally I wouldn't give you a plugged nickel for every junkie pos Ford truck built its your money buy what you want what you like myself I don't like the way a Ford truck looks the way they drive the styling the engineering the fit and finish and especially the international power stroke pos diesel don't care for their gas motors either so you think and buy with your money what you think is best on the planet I think that a Ford is the biggest piece of shit I ever owned and drove and will never own another one. To repeat to each his or her own it's your money buy what you want and like you know you can't fix stupid but you can educate ignorance medicate crazy just can't fix stupid.... Ford (fix or repair daily). Also everybody knows that any of the newer heavy duty trucks no matter the manufacturer is underrated for licensing and registration purposes because some states go by the stated gvwr (gross vehicle weight rating) for the Ford owners we need to spell it out for them to determine how much money the state will extort from you for licensing and registration purposes. And if your commercial like me the licensing and registration is based off your stated (not manufacturer) gvw. In retrospect I've got 2500 trucks tagged commercial for 34000lbs gvw and they are legal if truck weighs 10000lb I can put a 24000lb trailer behind it and be legal in the process. I own and operate 5 2500 and 3 3500 trucks in rv transport and hotshot along with 2 class 8 tractor trailers and yes none of them are ford's they will not hold together and the power stroke will not stay together doing commercial work period I've tried get the best service and dependability from ram cummins and especially the duramax Allison trans combo works best for my business but like I said before each his or her own buy what you like or want it's your money but when your buying those trucks to make you money with the most economical operating expenses with less breakdowns you buy what works best ....
