Passed : Found North Hell Diver --- was selected in their lottery out the door w/ shipping was $187+. Simply too expensive for a Canadian Whiskey brand that I've never had before. George T Stagg 2023 $900+ tax. First time I've seen this bottle for less than $1000 where I live ---- still too much! Bought: Penelope Valencia Batch 2 $100 --- Summer is coming and this is a great pour for a warm evening! Stagg Batch 23C --- Price finally came down under $200 where I live. I got it for $175 +tax. FINALLY got my first bottle of Stagg! I wish that we saw prices like $67 that you pay in CA, but in NJ its just crazy high for the high end bottles! David --- please review any of the Japanese whiskies. They are now appearing on our shelves but I don't know anything about them. Any education that you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Hi David. Great reviews. I did buy the Screaming Titan as I do like wheaters and I really like Redwood Empire. I am sure that I am in the minority, but after tasting this Milk Chocolate liquid, I like it more than the Larceny BP I have. My understanding is that Screaming Titan , Devil’s Tower and Foggy Burl use their own distillate (at least partially) - really liked all three of these and I look forward to future Redwood Empire Distillate.

I passed on the Bookers because it was $120 min. Also passed on multiple redwood empires at total wine. What I’ve learned is to wait on certain bottles they have lots of. When they don’t sell they’ll mark them down eventually.

I passed on a JD 12 at $199 but picked up a ASW GA Fiddler Heartwood store pick & a Forrester SB 100 proof. Great video David, I love the passed as much as the haul. Great bottles. Cheers

Great haul on those two Michters. They're on my list. That Stagg at 67? Amazing. I just got a Stagg 23b and EHT SiB for 120 each OTD and I'm very happy with that price. Of course those bottles came from NorCal shipped to me in Houston. EHT BP is for sure a unicorn for me.

I passed up on almost everything in april. I bought 21 bottles on my trip to Kentucky in march so I needed to take a break from buying whiskey. Only thing I got was a 1792 12 year and a widow jane lucky thirteen.

Would definitely like to see the disco 11 vs russells 13 review. Had a pour of the disco at the distillery back in March. It was one of the best things I tasted on my trip. Picking up a bottle of it today at total wine. Pretty stoked about that.

Great video! Totally agree with everything you passed on, would have done the same. I do love that Woodford bottle but agree it really needs to be under $100, too many great options in the $60-$80 range and at the price it's not worth it IMO

I bought the bookers cuz I've never owned one but loved the pours I've had. I also paid $79 for the Screaming Titan Redwood empire. It sold out in less than 3 minutes! I hope it's good,still waiting. I think skipping WR bat h proof was a good move as I own it. It's not worth $140. I heard heaven hill 18 wasn't worth $400. I always pass on Russell's. Not a WT guy especially for that insane price. I'd rather spend 400 on Heaven hill 18,but I'm a H.H. guy. Love the pass/buy videos. Cheers

I passed on the Rare Character and Russel’s Reserve CNE at Hi-Proof as well. I would love to have the RRCNE, but spending over $200 for any bottle is difficult to pull the trigger!

I bought the Michter’s Barrel Strength Rye and have a few pours left of the Michter’s Toasted Rye 2023. Holy cow. Rare Perfection 15 Year for $80? I picked up a backup of Disco batch #11 for $129. So good. Stagg Jr 16 is the only Stagg Jr I do not have since Stagg 15. 🥃❤ I also traded for the MM Cellar Aged. Have not cracked it open yet. Saving for a Bourbon/Golf Weekend with my brother, cousin and best friend. I want you to review the MM Cellar Aged! 🥃

i could never see myself spending more than a 150 on any American whiskey. the only American whiskey i spent that much on was the high west midwinter, its one of my absolute favorite bottles of all time and this is coming from a scotch drinker

I wish my TW Concierge service offered those goodies. I just get meh offers. I’d like to see reviews on the Japanese whisky’s. I got some in the past when they were reasonable priced. Some have come off allocation and no one buys them now. We’re all waiting for TW to drop them down in price.

Great reviews as always,I was really disappointed at Larceny Barrel Proof,in fairness I opened up a 1792 Full Proof the same week and my opinion no comparison the 1792 killed it,as for maple finish why ? Maybe im uninformed but if I can get 12 year old Canadian whiskies for under 30 what's the sense, like you I can live without the sweet than again I don't care for pancakes either.🥃

These prices close to $100 or higher are just a waste of money, folks are paying them so it won't get any better any time soon. Michigan prices are getting ridiculous 🫣
