It's just a marvel show that has no relevance to the overall plot so if it's canon or not it doesn't matter. Season 1's really the only thing that actually goes to hand with the main plot, and winter soldier covers everything that aos connects with the mcu. I view aos as just a side gag, but it's got such high stakes at the later seasons it's hard to take seriously
