Hi guys today we went to the biggest open air market in Africa!! The market is in the heart of Addis Ababa and it is called Merkato. Here you can find everything from fruits, shoes, furniture, and so much more. We decided to go and see how chaotic this place is and find our way around. Here is how we got treated as foreigners. You all misunderstood several moments 😂 - The avocado guy was considerate by not selling overly raw avocados, a rare honesty considering some shops sell spoiled items. - The mango vendor offered the same price to you all as to the locals who came later; your wife might have misheard him. - When you offered the shoe shine guy 50, he said 20 was enough. It's admirable that he wasn’t trying to take advantage of you all. Next time, either bring a local with you or find someone who speaks English at one of the electronic shops.

1. Many Ethiopian don't like street food bcoz of the hygiene. 2. For taxi services, call Feres or Ride. Safer and easier

Hi kish if you want to know addis ababa with in one or two dayes, contact tourist office in addis ababa, they can show you different parts of torust area by their car but you have to pay then some money

Hi kish If you contact tourist office in addis ababa, they can show you different torust area in addis ababa with their car with in one day or two dayes depend on your agreement but you you have to pay some money for service to themm then it is easy to know about addis ababa with in one or two dayes.

You are in the wrong corner of Merkato and the wrong type of visit. You definitely need a helper to show you. You are lost, without a compass, without information, simply walking on the street will not help you. Because in Merkato there is a hall for every item .e.g. for clothes a hall is called Adarash for food and drink there are restaurants in the hall but not on the street,

Yeah…a lots of homeless because people displaced from different town from the war two years ago a lots war happening in different tribes…so people displaced and they lost families very sad almost more than a million people died

I am from Eritrea, not Ethiopia. In Eritrea we speak Tigrinya while in Ethiopia the main spoken language is Amharic.
