With 100, you'll end up with like 20-10 wishlist given how many people give up along the way

I was just thinking this also, these vids are good but not for upcoming devs, they are more for seasoned devs that wanna make a game of their own

Great interview! Really enjoyed it. Gavin is special in that he can do everything. One of the biggest mistakes I made (maybe the biggest?) is not hiring people earlier. And specifically not committing to hiring full-time long-term devs earlier. I waited so long for the EXACT same reasons Gavin is saying. But still... waiting so long to expand has cost me maybe 5 years and probably a game or two in my lifetime. But he's so young, he has so much time his timeline is different! Plus he manages to crank out games pretty quickly (at least compared to me and my studio!).

I’m currently starting a game right now as a solo dev and it’s already overwhelming to me but I’ve always wanted to be part of the game industry growing up and i honestly feel trying to get hired on to a team is harder than actually making one yourself. So I’m deciding to bite the bullet and just overcome the challenge of being alone.

I so love these videos and listen while I work on games as well, thank you! I’d love to hear you explore taste and instincts. That seems to be a consistent component with success.

Oh way, y’all was mostly about the co-op experience and the ending of the game which had a story that changed based on who won the player versus player elements. the creator of a way out also went on to make it takes two which also went viral because of the split screen co-op Elements of the game I think the virality of these games was increased because there’s not a lot of co-op couch games that people can play anymore so people like the game grumps and woolly versus were able to play these games and have a good time as well as the theorist

A game for everyone is a game for noone (or just a terrible game). A game for noone is a game for noone. My advice, stick in the middle, avoid both the previous options, and don't go paranoid about it :)

I love your videos and I‘ve been watching them for years now. You‘re my idol in terms of game development and you‘ve helped me a lot with your videos. Thing I noticed is that, over the time, you have began to start promoting your courses really really heavily and I honestly feel that it‘s getting worse and worse. Still like you but I hope that will become better.

Multiplayer is not that hard to do lol specially if using GMC. It’s kinda simple now it being a headache is for old school guys lol if you have so much trouble hire a senior tech it’s thousands out there that will make it fully functional multiplayer in a week of your game if you already have it an just want it replicated I know a couple guys who can replicate piece of cake for them so it’s really more the old school guys that’s stuck in they ways that has trouble 😂😂😂with making multiplayer it’s not big deal anymore maybe 3 years ago hehe

Atleast you made it further than me lol be proud of your accomplishments. I'm still working on mine and don't know when i'll even be able to finish it. About your game though, i checked out the videos and i'll be honest, it looks like you've put a lot of thought and work into it but it's a genre that's imo naturally harder to get a lot of popularity for and that's probably why it's hard to get many wishlists but i hope more people that want to play the game finds it. All the best.
