I bought a 2002 ranger about four months ago. It makes a rusty door hinge noise every time I sit down. I think it is the ball joints. I hope that's all. Probably need to rebuild the whole front suspension. Watching this video helps. Thanks.

Yeah could be the ball joints, but may also be the coil overs, when they get worn out and dirty they make noise. Atleast from my experience

You didn't show how to pop the lower ball joint out of the steering knuckle. They are usually frozen in there and don't magically pop out on their own.

@@davidreyes8226 do you happen to have the part number? I really don't want to waste my money on the whole are again if I don't have to. But every one looks at me like i got ten heads when i ask if its removable. Auto parts stores don't put that in the computer i guess. Very nice press u are using one day ill get one. But i did my lower joints with couple of big sockets and a c clamp and little creative thinking i had joint half way in with c clamp but it wasn't going any further so i put wood block under joint made sure straight lowered truck and let weight of truck press joint in. It worked took about day or so on each side but it got done no press. I wouldn't recommend it though. Fyi inner tie rods you don't need a special tool there is enough room for wrench i bought blue point iner tire rod tool and I really didn't have to. Next is snapon joint press. Please sent part number to the control arm with removable ball joints i really appreciate it. Great video.

I would need more info on your vehicle. but you can always just google it yourself. or look it up on the auto zone website. or even possibly on amazon @@johnwhite192

Should have bought Original/OEM parts... Aftermarket ball joints last 20k miles and OEM ball joints last 200,000 miles or more.

todd bob im kicking around which ones to get. my truck just hit 200k but the oem dosent have grease fitting but Ill find a good USA with grease fitting

I think there pretty similar,the drive axle should just slide out after you remove the axle nut.

That's called a snap ring dude.. smoke another before you torque another..... 3 pounds dude... I would call Cheech if he's not available call Chong 4 torque specs ..
