This video shows how to cut out and install speaker grills for the rear door speakers in your PIU. Most of the time the rear door speakers are present but you cannot hear them due to the lack of access.

I have to stop and say that was a fine workaround to a difficult problem. Not that it is difficult to cut a hole in a plastic door panel, what is difficult is to make it look OEM and you knocked this one over the fence! Nice job. Im a 60 year old car guy who is 3 days into convincing myself to buy a FPIU to do what I want to it. My last car build was an awesome 91 Nissan 300zx slicktop i converted into twin turbo. Now its time to build a cop car! You have also enlightened me as to practical uses for 3D printers. Ive been an AutoCad pilot all my life (release 2.2) and until now I havent stepped into the 3D printing because I have no need for plastic toys and boats. Those console fillers pieces you did clicked a switch in my head. Thanks for sharing!

Looks pretty clean. I've been thinking about running a sub to the cargo partition. When I first got my IU I sat in the back and was like wow there's no sound. The front of these has a lot of factory bass so for the rears to be coverered is unfortunate.

Or and hear me out here, draw a pattern and drill a bunch of little holes.

There are a group of dots on the inside of the rear door panels that you can drill out for the sound to come through.

This is a bit off topic of the door and speaker but I have a 2015 utility and I don’t have the door ajar chime when I open it. Do I need to go through forscan you think?
