I don't even have a Himalayan. But I still love watching these somehow 😂 Love the way you explain in depth Today itself I got a reply from you in regards to my plan on buying Himalayan. You warned me that I should learn how to stop this bike because of the 21inch wheel size, tried looking up on internet about it, but was unable to find something relevant. If you could post something in future or some relevant article or video would be really helpful sir! Thanks in advance

@Akshay (and Ben), this is what Im looking for as well. I noticed that the RE-H has one of the worst stopping distances tested by various reviewers. But (most of) the rest of the bike is too bloody good! I'm sure there's a custom fix for this.

Thank you very much, Ben. Simple and confidence-building instructions. I felt like Tom Hanks in that movie on the island, "I have made fire!" when I drove away this morning without any hint of chain slack. :) Now that I am slowly running out of warranty and into 12K+ kms on my Himalayan I'll slowly start tinkering a bit more than I have until now. Your guides come in very handy.

Ben thanks so much, 9:30 at night going for a long ride tomorrow just checked the chain and it needs some tightening. Got the bike 6 weeks ago and have put almost 5,000 km on it so far just loving it. Awesome straightforward video as usual you are my go-to resource.

Thank you, Ben. I have a Himalayan with just over 10,000 km. I did the oil change and now I feel an intermittent "clunk" in my left foot peg (it even happens when I coast with the engine off). I may have over-tightened the chain, so I'm going to check that tomorrow.

Also , the wheel alignment . Remove the chain guard and check if the chain is SNAKING . It has to be perfectly straight.

For rear wheel alignment I like to use an aluminum straight edge used in construction. I lay it up against the sides of both the front and rear wheel and then adjust the rear wheel accordingly. It works well and takes all the guess work out of wheel alignment.

Brother... how much to tighten the lock nut? I have been doing it by tightening it till it stops and then 1/4 turn to avoid damaging the threads and putting pressure on the bearings. Manual says 70nm on torque wrench. What's your method?
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
Indian Mechanic I do not own a torque wrench . Have been wanting to buy one for a really long time . But cannot justify the purchase with working on just my bike . So I borrow it whenever necessary. That being said . I tighten the lock but till it seats and then go 3/4 turn .

Ben can you please let from where did you get that reflector on left and right on read number plate and how did you fit it . Actually in my Himalayan BS6 its not there .
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN3 жыл бұрын
Hi friend. ask for yamaha gladiator or honda shine reflectors @ any automobile spare parts shop. also ask for the L mounting clamps and bolts for the same. mount the same on your number plate screws.

I am planning to buy Himalayan BS6 I have few concerns regarding components, - what primary checks I should perform before delivery? - tapping sound issue and how to resolve ? - Piggyback ECU for BS6 is helpful ? Does it affects warranty ?
@nidhishvp30663 жыл бұрын
Check for any kind of scratches leaks and the Tyre for any usage marks When u take delivery go for a spin and make sure the vehicle is balanced and does not go to a side(slightly let go of the handle bar to check it) The aftermarket ecu does NOT void the warranty The tapping sound is above 40 degrees and that's when the bike is really heating up a better grade of oil could help with it

Lack of maintenance and wrong chain tension lead to this . Change your chain asap . Also sprockets .
