Time for a 'how to' video and since I'm learning how to drive my air fryer, let's learn some basics together. Fried halloumi makes a wonderful salty addition to a salad or crumbled over a soup, and with an air fryer it has become such a simple and easy thing to do.
This 'how to' is so basic it barely counts as a recipe, but just a list of very simple 'rule of thumb' instructions.
Preheat air fryer at 180C/ 360F for 5 minutes.
Cut your halloumi into slices or chips.
Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Rub or brush a small amount of olive oil onto each side.
Place oiled halloumi into the preheated air fryer and cook at 180C/ 360F for 10 - 12 minutes or until the golden-brown shade you like. Turn the halloumi after the first 5 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer and serve as is, cut into smaller pieces or crumble to use as you like.
