My guess is its supposed to show the good guy doesnt want to kill and its nothing more than virtue signaling. In reality people will clap the villain in the blink of an eye without much remorse cuz its kill or be killed.

Even fully trained soldiers have a lot of trouble shooting enemies in combat, which is why covering fire and depersonalization of the enemy is heavily focused on during training. There was even a study which found that around 90% of soldiers will purposefully shoot over their target’s head. It’s just a fact that most people lack the constitution for killing even when their lives are at risk. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or a sociopath. I consider that hesitation pretty realistic in most cases, because only experienced killers wouldn’t hesitate and most horror movie protagonists are people that probably haven’t even picked up a power tool before, let alone a firearm.

Yeah, his roasting of the character’s stupid decisions is part of the reason I find his vids so entertaining. The way he obliterated the terrible logic and decision-making of the characters in his Resident Evil vid had me in stitches lol

Shit has me weak, if darbie saw a 40 gallon drum covered in blood and smelled like rotting flesh she’d probably ooen it and then look at it for 5 seconds !!! It fits the theme. In every show taking place out in bumfuck nowhere, there's only one LEO who shows up. Typically it used to be in the middle of the plot (late 1st act or early 2nd) where he's inevitably killed by the antagonist... the rest of the movie happens... then just before the end credits roll, every cop within the tri-county area shows up. To answer your question more seriously though ~ "because."

yeah this is probably the most unrealistic shit in movies. Irl 9 cops will pull on you for simply saying No to an ID check and we have plenty of videos on that but in movies with crimes its always this one cop or 2 at max that split instantly so its again 1 cop by himself acting like an idiot cuz everyone has to be an idiot in these movies.

@@PSL416 It doesn't matter what size of a city. If there is a report of a kidnapped child the cavalry is coming. If it's a big city the place will soon be absolutely swarming with cops. If it's a small enough town there is only one available law enforcement officer they'll contact their drinking buddies with guns to back them up. Either way, they aren't going to show up to confront kidnappers alone.

I'm not American but isn't child kidnapping automatically FBI business? Plus in my country normal patrol is 2 cops. I'm not sure about bp vests. As far as I know in Poland they sometimes not wear them on patrol but in my country guns are rare so not much sense ruining your spine. Don't ask me the names of them, because I'm drawing a blank right now But some movies these days are making the characters smarter. No more of that tripping over air and running upstairs when you should run out the front door. It's actually refreshing
