Great video Damien. I have not used a board leash for last two years. I didn't think about using my one arm and legs to paddle to help get to the board in light winds.

Thanks for another great video and tips: I've just started to wing last month and bought a new Dutone wing and on my 2nd time out to sea I fell in the water and my leash came off the wing, Aaaaaa. It was a bit of a disaster being on an island myself and left with a board only and then having to salvage my wing. Anyway, I did manage to get the wing back from the beach and after inspecting what the issue was, it was the knot came loose on the wing that then caused the Lesh to come off the wing. So, I blame the manufacture Dutone for not making sure the knots are tight, Aaaaaaa. So, my tip is, check your gear before going out to wing, don't just think it will be fine. Downwind body drags pretty strait forward - any tips on upwind 🥴🤙🏼

There is another way to do a body drag to catch your board. Let me explain, I found myself in difficulty following a fall during which my board leash broke. I wanted to swim quickly to catch up with my board but I was too bothered by my wing leash handle. So I tried the body drag explained in the video but the board was drifting too fast for me to catch up. The wind was quite strong, I did a body drag windsurf style. I lifted the wing leading edge upwards (the opposite of this video) by stretching my arms so the wing does not touch the water while lying down as much as possible. By doing so, I was able to glide across the surface of the water and move quickly towards my board. --- Il y a une autre facon de faire un body drag pour rattraper sa planche. Je m'explique, je me suis retrouvé en difficulté suis à une chute durant laquelle mon leash de planche s'est cassé. J'ai voulu nager rapidement pour rattraper ma planche mais j'étais trop géné par mon leash d'aile poignée. J'ai donc essayé le body drag expliqué dans la video mais la planche dérivais trop vite pour que je la rattrape. Le vent était assez fort, j'ai fait un body drag façon windsurf. J'ai soulevé l'aile bord d'attaque vers le haut (l'inverse de cette vidéo) en tendant les bras pour que l'aile ne touche pas l'eau en m'allongeant le plus possible. En faisant ainsi, j'ai pu glisser à la surface de l'eau et avancer rapidement vers ma planche.
