Bonding with your adopted infant or child is beautiful and important! But, there is always a fear. Will it feel the same? Can I screw up my kid if I don't do it right? Grab your coffee and let's talk all about it! The "what if's" and the "how to's"...I've got you covered. To bond with an older child, you can skip past the infant section and go to the time: 10:20.
Make sure to WATCH ALL THE WAY TO THE END for the infamous outtakes!
Special guest appearance by our good friends, Matt & Kelli who have 2 daughters through adoption - one through private adoption, one through foster care - for adding their wisdom to this beautiful topic.
I'd love to hear YOUR best bonding advice! Make sure to tell your story in the comments below.
Hi! I'm Tami....mom to three incredible kids who each have their own beautiful adoption story. It's because of them that I am an Adoption Advocate - educating families, wiping tears (& crying with you), cheering you on, & walking with you through your own journey & beyond. The good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly. We'll talk about it all. ❤️
Come have coffee with me & let's chat about all the things - adoption, race, black hair care, family - all in a real life environment of imperfect filming & unedited kid comments. 😜🙌 NEW VIDEOS WEEKLY (ish...Life is busy, y'all!). Click that 🔔 to get Notified when a new video is uploaded. 🙌

OK I have to go cry you said heartbeats together. My adoptive mom didn't want me and didn't like me, and I'm 63 and I think the only bonds I know are trauma bonds. I'm happy to know that some people want to love the children they adopt. Sometimes she tried to pretend to like or love me, but that just made it harder and more confusing.

Do you have to get permission to breast feed before papers are signed?
@TamiMajtan
@TamiMajtan 3 жыл бұрын
This is a great question - I'm glad you asked it! Legally, no. But for your relationship with your birth family, I would definitely talk to them about it first if you wanted to start right away. You don't want any surprises at the hospital! I would explain your heart and desire for nurturing and bonding and why you would like to do this and then ask them if they are comfortable with it while you all are at the hospital. You want to honor their role and their comfort level. Their entire world is changing by following through with their adoption plan and there is a lot of grief that goes along with that. So if it would be too hard for them to know you are breastfeeding in the other room, I would wait until you are home. Thank you for being here and watching! xoxo, T

@@hoffmansforhim7365 Adoption Consultants....are you looking for an adoption agency? We used Lifetime Adoption. They are based in CA and work with adoptive & birth families all over the country. They are Christian based and act as a facilitator to help match families and birth families where everyone's preferences are met. Lifetimeadoption.com and tell them I sent you. :) Here's my email if you want to talk more in depth. @@TamiMajtan what is the difference between an agency and consultant? Should I be leary of out of state agencies?
@TamiMajtan
@TamiMajtan 3 жыл бұрын
@@hoffmansforhim7365 A consultant will guide you through the process and give you helpful resources, but they do not do any of the adoption. An agency or a facilitator is who will actually connect you with a birth family and baby/child to fulfill the adoption. No need to be leery of out of state agencies, but DO do your research. Most agencies work with couple/birth families from all over. You will be working closely with them and you want to trust them and feel comfortable with them. I go through what to look for in my video "What to Expect from Your Adoption Agency." kzfaq.info/get/bejne/erGZo7xotajQgHk.html

No it wont feel the same. Adoptive parents you arent our parents your like a gaurdian. No amount of binding with your adopted child can match to a bio mother and her child

Poor little girl in this video. I know her misery, her type of crying. She wants her REAL mother and it is obvious Tammi the egotist treats her like dirt. But yup, run off to a "therapist" with her and FORCE her to attach to Tammi's self-centered delusions demands, brainwash her, make her think and feel what Tammi wants. So much for free will, respect and a child abuse free home "y'all"...Tami wants her money's worth for the human being she bought and that's ALL that matters to her.
