How To Build a 3D Printed Mini Commodore PET With Working LCD Display

As part of this project we’re also going to show you how to add multiple Vice systems to RetroPie, and we’ll also show you a little trick on how you can get your Commodore emulators to boot right to BASIC from RetroPie.

Yeah failed experiment, we were playing around with some different equipment and didn't pick up on that until we were in post.

Underrated channel! I think maybe removing some of the rough edges around your video overlays and things, and maybe scripting your videos to be quicker would help your quality a lot. Maybe some quiet background music or images during the long talking segments? Love your Sony Vaio handheld in the background of the intro

Did you have to do any other size adjustments to get the 3.5" HDMI display to fit Lorenzo's design, other than the modifications to the bezel?

Nope, everything else worked out just fine. Well aside from the fact that I accidentally made the change to the wrong side and I had to rotate the screen display 180 degrees. :-)

Hello, I recently built a commodore pet mini but iam having trouble. I installed GTK3VICE and did everything I had to but now I dont know what to do. I uploaded a rom to pi called c-pet.vsf its basically a commodore pet rom but when I launched my pi and then installed the rom onto it it launched commodore 64 basic v2 instead of commodore pet v4. How can I fix this? I used vice and do i need to use lr-vice? And when I turn my pi on I see commodore 64 then i click on it and there is the rom but it launches the commodore 64 basic 2v. Thanks if you help me!

Great video! I just ordered all the parts to make my own and wanted to model mine with the same HDMI display as you used. Is there a place I can get the .stl files you modified for this display? I don't have a 3D printer and have to send the parts out to a service.

I'm with Bob and Kim, while Retro Recipes did give you brief mention at the very beginning of his video, he did little to make it easy to find the link to your channel. I'm builder of #4 and think he totally butchered the HDMI / GPIO display issue. He also made it seem as though he assisted in the build process. 🇨🇦
