It's always the small things that I so love; "Its so hot", photo bombing by kids on bikes and large wrinkled dog, and the "friendly" exchanges between you two,all make your channel a fun place to visit after a long day. I work as a machine shop instructor near a Hershey co. The maintenance men come to our community college to learn machine shop. They would bring still warm fresh red licorice. Nothin better on the candy isle.

Don't buy Hershey's. The chocolate they use comes from children slaves. Look it up. After I learned that I can't enjoy a Hershey's anymore. Child slaves helped make that chocolate. Not ok. We shouldn't be so distant from the origins of our foods.

Best of luck guys with the new builds. Best to get as much of the work done before the winter weather sets in and you can't do anything. Seriously, don't complain about the weather. I am currently sitting here with a storm raging outside. Rain and wind. Storm Ellen. Lovely. Great video.

For such a tiny lady she is and absolute work machine. I am a little envious that she can eat so much of the good (junk and sweet stuff) and not grow out like I tend to. I think it’s a great idea. Whenever I think of starting off great property this is one of the first things I think about building, setting up solar wind and/or Hydro power getting a well going and setting up a small building to house everything so I can have my power and water going to start building. then at least you have a place to take shelter if you need to and lock up your tools if you can’t be up there full-time to start. Basically like a large well pump house that controls your electric and had some storage and maybe even with the big cistern in there to keep it out of the sun.

great progress! For your entertainment some evening, do a search for "advanced framing" methods. There are some great techniques to consider when you start framing the house. The basic concept is the less wood in the wall the better (wood is a lousy insulating material and less studs, plates and kings/jacks, etc means less 'bridging'). In your climate the better insulated the shell of the building is the less energy needed to heat it (and cool!). Best tip I've ever been given: don't skimp on insulation. GOOD LUCK!

AWESOME JOB. I did the same thing only the pressure tank and paraphernalia was already in, the old shed blew down in one of our storms. Now insulate the S**T out of it. I put roof blanket all the way around, mine is the only well house that doesn't freeze in the bad storms. We have had 2 storms that froze everybody for 1000 acres and we are all on 5 to 10 ac plots. Everybody was coming to my house for 2 weeks to get water. So happy to see the progress next to shelter water is so a priority especially in the winter. God bless

Love your Iowa Woodford pump! Would you all pray for all the people in Iowa who lost their homes, cars, crops, and trees last Monday the 10 with the storm that brought 112 MPH winds across the state. We lost 10 million acres of corn & beans, many are still without electricity after 11 days. Thank you :)
