Just finished my first Log store build using this method and I have to say i'm super pleased with the result. Pretty straight forward to build and the results are great. The best part for me was that it was fun to build - Good Job Craig!

Think I'll base my design on this. But with maybe a 6" overhang on the front so the water isn't likely to drip down on to the logs underneath

Very good video Craig , start to finish info on the roof subframe would have been more helpful , ie : is the subframe square or constructed at the same angle as the roof sides ? This hasn’t been explained , I know what you were doing but remember you are talking to people that have never attempted it , any minor details missing could stop some one trying ?

Brilliant video, I'm an average diyer, it took me the weekend to do it but it looks great, I came back to the vid a few times to check things, measured twice cut once and all that. Some stuff was a bit of a challenge like the angles for the roof but i worked it out myself and I'm well chuffed. Where would I get the liquid from that you painted it with at the end please?

Nice design, thanks. The layout of the floor means you aren't having to screw into end-grain, which is what I was about to do with a different design!

Just finished this project quite straightforward to follow.apart from the Side angles for the roof. Which I didn’t understand how you work it out. Had to get the angle from another KZfaq video. Apart from that good project. Came out well.

Is there a specific drill bit you should use to drill the pilot hole? At the moment I just use brad point drill bits. I'll be attempting to build this, this summer (just had a log burning stove fitted)....as I don't have a great deal of tools there will be a LOT of sawing!!

Good video - bit confused by your dimensions though - 900mm high, 600mm wide and 24mm depth - it is far wider than 600mm and assume you meant 240mm depth - but it looks far deeper than that

How can wood dry when exposed to rain (especially, wind blown) here in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State, U.S.A.?

How come you made the roof tilt toward the front. The snow will come off and pile up in front of the the wood then you digging out.

Craig i followed the instructions but when i cut my timber i followed the instruction and did what you did and held my timber like you did 1:21 but i slipped and cut my hand off because you didn't use the clamps provided so now a can only hug my children with my replacement hook hand... i hope you are happy, i get called captain hook when i pick my children up from school... this comment is a troll but for some individuals its a reality. Be safe people. use the clamps provided if you don't want to cut your hands or fingers off.

Might be a wise idea to mention that you need to let the wood season and dry first before using it, if not done already. 2-3-4 years is ideal, depending on what firewood you'll be using (hardwood, softwood,....) and how thick the logs are (splitting it will help them dry faster and more evenly). Otherwise, nice idea, one that I'll be using! I have some good chunks of left over pallet wood that is laying around. Gonna make one, but a taller one, for my 84 year old mum, bless her soul. That way I can stack her firewood nicely next to her front door (that is protected from the overhanging roof of her house) and she doesn't have to walk outside thru snow, rain and storms and drag logs of wood all across the backyard. ;) Cheers!

Some continuity problems and lack of precise explanations The side panel he starts with is different to the one he ends up with ! If you are are DIY newbie, a bit difficult to follow....

When using a compound miter saw hold your piece of wood down with the provided clamp, don't use your hand like Craig Phillips unless you want to have no fingers afterwards. 1:21 Safety first kids

Since I read “pepe amazing plan” (Google it), I do think nothing will ever surpass it as a great woodworking book. The text is easy to read and the pictures and drawings outstanding. I look at this book a "must have" because it gives a wide range of information on just about everything coping with wood working and does it very well.

If your 3ft tall (tiny person) it's an ideal logstore, obviously needs more over hang on the roof as water will just drip and soak all the logs

I have spent months researching into building sheds and discovered an awesome resource at Wilfs Shed Formula (google it if you're interested)
