This is one of the better videos regarding the Nissan versa I decided to use a pump I bought on Amazon it was about 100 bucks I did everything like you did but I pumped it from the bottom it was much easier but the way you did it works too it just little more work regarding taking those things away so you have room to get to that ridiculous fill cap thank you for the video looks good

I used a long 3/8 extension with a socket swivel and took the whole tube out, got the fill tube cap off and then reinstalled the tube. Then used a length of tubing from a fuel siphon and stuck it into the fill tube, stuck a small funnel at the top end since I couldn't get any of my funnels in either. Just a thought, thank you for the helpful videos!

I have 2016 nissan versa note I change transmission fluid by taking off driver's side tire and wheel well plastic cover and u can see side and bottom of trans also get to the dipstick tube and take it off by one little bolt. Also the side transmission filter is right there too don't forget to replace it and the one in the trans cover.

I doubt this will help, but I'm gonna give it a shot before flushing $4200 down the drain on a transmission. If it lasts a few months from now, I'll be happy. Can't drive it more than about 2-4 miles before the tranny won't react. It'll just idle, regardless of how much I press the accelerator pedal down. When it cools off, it's good. But at operating temp, it's got an attitude problem. I already know the bands are stretched. I'm just hoping with a fluid swap, just maybe it'll make it a couple months before going completely kaput. Thanks! This video got me where no auto parts store or even the Dealer could. My problem was that the coolant line got worn through by the radiator hose's netting. Do you know if I have to bleed the sytem somehow, since I had to replace that line?! Also, I got almost 4 quarts out of mine, so will have to add more.

Should i just throw 3 quarts in and drain the excess with the drain plug until its dripping? I bought 4 ns2’s… also can i just use my scanner to check cvt fluid temp? First time working on this cvt dont wanna screw anything up lol

Is it bad if I ask (for a gauge sake) if you remove your oil dip stick, clean it off and use it to check your transmission fluid level after a service or I would take that reading level even now to check roughly where the fluid line should register? Asking for a quick check sake, if not, that’s ok too!

When accelerating hard (getting on interstate, etc..), my 2013 Versa with 163k climbs to 5k rpm and never wants to move to the next ratio. Letting off of the accelerator helps occasionally, but not consistently. I have no codes or check engine light. Getting it into a transmission shop next week, but hoping the avoid the $2800-$3500 repair cost. In your experience, could this be a symptom of low or dirty CVT fluid?

I have a 2010 Versa and have put 120k+ miles on it via daily driving and cross country driving from Miami to Canada (about 7 long roadtrips). I've never touched the CVT or added fluid either. Have I been lucky? I've changed the spark coils, plugs, batteries and air filters throughout the years. Is this the best Nissan built or what? And they say Honda & Toyota are the best.....

Your setting the car to 3 degrees but measuring on the lift and not the car. Where is the angle taken on the car? And is it 3 degrees front up or front down?

Accidentally drained approximately 0.5 qt of transmission CVT fluid from my 2012 Nissan Versa SV 1.6L, should I be concerned that about 0.5 qt came out? Was that just previous overfill? It was amber and clear in color? Or, should I just add that approximate amount back into the fill tube? Thanks in advance for any help!

I didn’t see you put the trans in all gears during the fill up while engine running ? Which could explain all the new fluid you lost in overflow, it seem like a lot off new fluid was wasted. Just a thought

Hurts to see no filter change. Not just the pickup screen but the element cartridge as well. This step has to be repeated multiple times to actually get all the fluid replaced. Most US locations of valvoline can perform the flush service which uses a calibrated machine to change fluid while running. Exact amount out exact amount in through cooler lines

how much ended up coming out of the trans? i filled mine with 4 1/2 quarts and had almost 3 quarts of trans oil come out before it started to drip, it kinda freaked me out a little and i added a bit more and i’m redoing the process to make sure i didn’t drain out too much! lmaoo

Sir so how much oil did it take.I took the oil pan out clean the filter with brake parts cleaner it took 3.8 liters to fill till over flow same car as yours.

I'm not sure on your Versa . I think on the Toy Rav 4 to check the cvt level you must stay in drive. My son has 2011 Cube with a costly $3500 rebuilt CVT with now 60,000 going to drop the trans pan replace the gasket & filters & do the proper cvt maintenance. Just trying to make it last 2 more years it's 12 years old 170,000. Never again any type of CVT garbage!

If you put in some fluid that says Nissan compatible and you didn't get it from the Nissan dealer it will probably last about 9 months and your transmission will be probably completely destroyed....

Screw this...just get a cheap pump and pump it in the pan standpipe tube.

there is no need to drain all that oil back out and waste it... after the fill how you do it is get a pan the wife wont miss and you can use for this in the future get the trans up to normal operating temps take it for a drive... then drain replace the fine metal filter and pan gasket then see what comes out when hot aka measure it with a quart cup then you know what it needs .. then heat up that amount in the pan dont do it over a stove use a propane heater with a fire extiqwusher near by heat up the new oil the temp you measured when it came out and then you have the right amount to put back in no wasting .5 of a quart anymore with those stupid inner dip stick tubes they are designed to waste oil so you buy .5 over every time..
